I've noticed this community hasn't been doing much lately, and honestly, I'd like to give it a second chance - but I think someone could do a much better job as maintainer than me. If you're interested in taking over and revamping this community, please comment, and I'll choose one. Otherwise, I'll be deleting this community. It's been quiet long enough.

(dont know where i got this pic from, sorry)

last night i had a very very weird dream, it was a mix between lord of the rings and reality. O_o

i was in an unknown city, sitting in a car and waiting for someone. but suddenly i saw mark coming out of a house (like in the pic), he talked a bit with the person i was waiting for and then he came to me and said something, i cant remember what, but its something like "if there is only black and white......there is no grey" but in my dream this weird sentence meant something like "your special" or "your beautiful" O_o
then he went to a forest near the house and disappeared. i went to the forrest too, but then i was surrounded by lorien elves like haldir, rumil and orophin and many more.
they were like an escort for me, because there was just only one save way trough the forest. in the forrest itself were some unknown monsters (nothing from middle earth). and i just know that we passed the forrest safe.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Mark was on Cleopatra 2525, though it's not on his IMDB entry. Can anyone confirm that he was/wasn't, and if yes then which episode?

LOTR Voting Booth's first week's results!

It's been a close run thing for everything under second place the last few days... Aragorn/Legolas is now third again with Celeborn/Haldir slipping to fifth... Merry/Pippin has just slipped into Fourth place and Frodo/Gandalf is gaining more each day!

So... the results after 7 days are:

Faramir/Haldir have 516 Votes
and
Aragorn/Legolas have 238 Votes

Wanted to let folks know that the store is still open. We still have some stuff from the 2003 Gathering, including the same type of shirt Mark himself wore on stage, and have now added basic logo products as well. I know mine gets alot of great comments when I wear it. :o) Enjoy!

Back in the mists of time... just after the first Rings film came out, when LOTR fandom was new and shiny, RPS was in it's infancy and no one knew who David, Harry, Mark or even Craig were... I started up a voting booth for people to vote for thier favourite Slash pairing. And then the place running it shut down just after it was all getting fun and bubbling along :(

But now it's back! And so is my poll:

Hi guys, I have finally joined this community after learning how....I know pretty stupid hehe! My name is Kirsty and I have been a fan of Mark's sonce I met him at The Fellowship Festival last year.

Good day everyone. I am Sleepwalking Dreamer, and I decided to drop by here and join after more than three months of putting it off because of schoolwork.

At any rate, just call me Kam, if my screen name is far too long for you.

Oh, and one more thing before I leave: Earonn, if you are somehow here to see this, I would like to say thank you for the RingCon CD. I received the notification of its arrival today, which is about as good as having it in my hands already. Actually holding it in my hands and viewing the photos in it will probably be one of the few things that will keep my spirits afloat while I wait for the results of my comprehensive exams to arrive (if I don't pass those, I won't be able to start my thesis and will end up delayed for a year, damn it).

To the others on this community, I will say now that I do not really have much to contribute, save perhaps a real-person story that has no likelihood of ever coming true... But I will comment as much as I can, if that is any consolation.

Well, this has gotten quite long enough for an introductory post. Until the next time, then.

the name´s boa and i just joined this superb community to drool... i mean, find out more about mark "the man" ferguson, who i had the pleasure of meeting twice, at ringcon 2002 and 2004. i missed last year, but only because i had this silly idea of making a trip to nz. stupid of me, i know, with mark and craig being in germany and all that... anyway, great to be here, and thanks for not picking at me to hard in the beginning!
