Summary: Babs is mad at Ted, Tim's worried, Bruce is vengeful, and Cass can kick your ass. Oh, and there's a huge vampire battle.
Author's Notes: YES ANOTHER WIP DONE! This is still dedicated to cissie_king and unrequited_rain for suggesting the idea and wanting me to write random ass AUs respectively. Also, thanks to julius12 for being a kickass beta. This didn't end up going exactly as I expected it to be. For instance, it went from being predominantly a Cass/Steph piece to having practically zero Cass/Steph in it at all. In fact, Ted/Babs was supposed to be a side-pairing! But I'm happy with it. Part of Blood and Family. Follows this part. |

Having a meta-y thought after reading the 'Superbuddies' books and Showcase Presents Booster Gold again.
There's a running joke in 'Formerly Known As The Justice League' and 'I Can't Believe It's Not The Justice League'....that Beetle mentions he has a heart condition, and Booster refuses to believe it, that he's making it up for the attention, or because he thinks it sounds more mature.
Now, in the Showcase Presents Booster Gold...we learn that Booster gambled to make money for his mother's operation. A heart-transplant and nerve re-wiring. And when Booster, Rip Hunter, and Jack Soo and Trixie return to 2462...Booster learns that his mother died a few months after he sacked the Space Museum and fled to 1985 Metropolis.
Ellen Carter had the best medical care 500 years in the future, and died anyway. Could this be why Booster doesn't want to think about Ted at the mercy of primitive medicine?
Good angst-fic fodder there. |

Hey. Wandered over here from piper_trickster a while back. Now I'm obsessed with these Booster Gold and Blue Beetle too. <3 So I thought I'd come bearing some ficcage from the DC Comics Kink Meme I found. I'll list all the one with them (separate or together). A few of the filled ones I think have been posted here before since they de-anon'd.
I'm gonna post the not filled ones too, since maybe they'll give some lovely writers around this community an idea to fill it. :/ It's too bad the DC Kink Meme seems rather dead; maybe we can liven it up a bit? ^-^;; (Even if some thing's filled, if they plot bunny bites, listen to it~ *bad influence*)

Recap of the previous summary: "a CBR article about a HeroesCon panel mentioned 'a dead character will be brought back for good in an upcoming issue of Booster Gold.' phoenixfire_lia pointed out that the 'only dead characters Booster actually cares about are Ted and Shel.'"
