Hey there, cats and kittens! ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) grabmygoblin has just pointed out to me that the "fic" tag is getting unwieldy, and asked if we could add more specific tags for ease of searching. I am totally fine with that, but not sure which system of tagging would make it easier for you guys to search. We can sort by rating, by characters, by source material (JLI, ICBINTJL, etc.), by genre/trope (AU, genderswap, PWP, etc.). I certainly have personal preferences, but I wanted to open it up to you guys, since you guys will be using the tags.
Also, I like making polls.

Summary: Max has a brilliant idea. As always, this can only end in tears. Takes place very early in the JLI era . . . Featuring Max, Booster, Barda, and Captain Atom, mainly. But Ted makes at least one cameo in chapters ahead. (On a sidenote, my version of Max is greedy and somewhat morally bankrupt, but not eeeevil or anything of that nature.)

Author's notes: First fanfic ever, un-betaed, and this is out of my canon arena, so I'm running on hope, prayer, and a lot of imagination. Featuring a buzzed Beetle and a "my liberal arts education is USEFUL!" Booster. Inspired by this scan from here, (thanks for the link, poisonivory!) I just took it and ran with it.

Don't know if anyone else has seen the new Ted and Booster figures that are part of the new DC Universe line. They are available at places like Target and Wal-Mart. I picked up Ted the other day and was pleased that he was the same scale as my Booster figure from an earlier set.
He's got tons of joints and swivel points, so you can actually set him in many of Ted's poses from the comics, i.e. Crotch-fu attacks. Or of course put him in various naughty poses with Booster.
I don't have a working camera on hand so there's just an advertisment photo under the cut

Hello! Been lurking for a while now. Really just got into this pairing like a month ago. So far I've read the Giffen run of JLI, Formerly Known as the Justice League, I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League, and Justice Riders. I am almost afraid to read anything else knowing what happens to Ted. I am a lightweight when it comes to angst. Just the two of them fighting in Formerly got my heart all up in knots.
Anyway I've been drawing these two a lot lately so here are some doodles:

| N00b post, but not an intro! |

Er, hello new peoples. *waves* I've lurked a lot, but just joined yesterday when a plotbunny bit me. I don't even WRITE fanfiction, and a plotbunny bit me. (It was Tora with a Say & Spell. Then I got bit by other plot bunnies involving jockstraps, cheesesteaks, and mimes.)
So now I find myself with about six thousand words of fic (cool), but also completely without a beta, and no one on my flist who knows jack about DC comicverse, never mind Blue and Gold (not so cool). I have a pretty good feel for chunks of Blue and Gold's canon, but unfortunately, one of those chunks is not mid-to-late JLI era, which is when I'm setting the story. Plus I'm terrified I'm writing the JLI like Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way.
Of course, it'd be most truly awesomesauce if I could wrassle up a beta here, or just get pointed at a better comm for that purpose. (I'd be totally willing to return the favor, of course!) If I can't, then I hope to at least get maybe some random nitpicky canon questions asked. All of them, of course, are me wondering VERY IMPORTANT.
- I know General Glory is the one who gets Ted on the weight-loss kick. Around when in JLI time did this take place? Also, though I remember lots of push-ups and the great Ted vs. Guy boxing match, I don't really remember what else was involved in the great General Glory Fix-the-Fatty torture.
- Was the great Chocos fiasco ever placed in time any more specifically than JLI-era? Or is it just kinda floating around out there?
- Where is Ted originally from? I think I heard Philadelphia somewhere, but I'm not sure.)
- Did Ted ever actually DO anything with Kord Industries during the JLI era? Or does he just ignore it and hope it goes away, for the most part?

EDIT: Also, was Zatanna on good terms with the JLI? Now there's a character I really don't know jack about...

Hello everybody!
Just running in to let everyone know that the rules and regulations for this summer's boostlethon fic exchange have been posted here.
Although it is already June 1st in Eastern Timezones (and those non-United States countries that are ahead of us), the actual sign-up list will not be going up until I get some sleep later in the day.
We had a really great turnout for the Winter 2008 and we hope to see even more of you participating.
Oh, and as a reminder, all of the Winter 2008 fics are still up on the community, so if you've been jonesing for some Blue and Gold lately, go on over and have a look! |

Helllooooo~ Boostle! Been a while.
Well, to make a long story short, got back from FanimeCon the other day. Despite being an anime con, there was a surprising amount of comic book nerdery, including some Blue+Gold lovings. Shit was so cash. I figured I'd share a tiny bit of Boostle fangasming here, both tangentially-Fanime-related and otherwise. Just because it's been so quiet.
ALSO to the fellow Boostle folks I met there-- HEY HELLO! Now you know here I am so feel free to contact me. That would be good.
Ooh, and one more thing- People are clamoring for writefriends over at /coq/ on plus4chan. So if anyone's feeling particularly indulgent.... We could use some good fanficcery ;_;
