| About: | The "Book o' Summer Love" Community is the contact point for the yearly comics and fiction themed anthologies sponsored by One "L" Innovations. Participation is open to nearly anyone, just drop Alison (![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} thealisonbailey) an e-mail and join the community for updates. We try to keep the community upbeat and low stress -- it's all about having fun and the excitement of seeing your work in print. You don't have to participate in every anthology, missed deadlines aren't a big deal, if an entry gets too stressful -- don't do it! But, the number one rule, keep Alison informed. A little e-mail to say, "Sorry, can't make it this time," will save us lots of time getting a book ready for print. =)Our first anthology, The Book o' Summer Love, for which the community was first formed, is now available in print and in e-book format. We'd love for you to pick it up and give the various artist and writers feedback. SUPERHEROES! PINK! Volume 3, Issue 17 And after that...: Fairy Tales About the Theme: Write, draw or otherwise create in two dimensions your own fairy tales, myths, legends and folk tales. Or, bring a new spin on the classics. So, get out your wicked step-mothers, talking animals and damsels in distress for this one. Stories may be boy/boy, boy/girl or girl/girl. (Heck, you don't even have to have a romantic relationship of any sort!) Size: 6"x9" (Safe area/text area 5"x8", trim 6.5"x9.5") 300 dpi Rating: R or lower Length of Entries: Minimum, as always, is one full page. Maximum is 30 pages across the board. Writers, please note, that's 30 pages at print size, so please set the page margins on your word processor to match the above text area specifications. Or, keep in mind that one standard page of text with standard margins equals about a page and a half when converted to print size. If your work goes a page or two over when I convert it, no big deal. Just try to keep it around that length. =) On Entries: All original material. Fiction, poems, drabble collections, comics, pin-ups, photos -- all welcome. If it's two dimensional, we'll take a look at it! Keep all art in grayscales or black and whites. As always, we will be having a full color cover. If you would like to do a cover image, send it along as well. Deadlines: Everything is due September 1, 2008. Also: Please send a short, 100 words or less, biographical write-up along with your submission.
