Galenorn, Yasmine: Witchling
Witchling
Writer: Yasmine Galenorn
Genre: Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance
Pages: 293
Marketed as paranormal romance, shelved in romance, this book is more urban fantasy than romance, so those of you romance readers out there with very definite expectations of how romance should play out in your paranormals, take warning. As an urban fantasy, it's not a bad book, but it's more fluff than anything, something to sit down and relax with and not think about too hard. I enjoyed it for what it was and wouldn't mind reading the rest of the books in the series, as the overall plot is far from resolved and each book seems to tell a story from a specific POV of one of the three half-human/half-Faerie sisters who work for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency, which is a fun premise in and of itself.
The full review's in my journal, if anyone's interested. As always, comments and discussion are most welcome.
