Title: Rex Mundi Fandom: Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell/ancient Rome Word Count: 100 Chocolate For: This book, for not getting enough fannish attention. Rating: PG Notes: I wrote a drabble off of a FOOTNOTE in this book. No, I'm not obsessed. Anyway, the gist of the footnote is that when Julius Caesar was in Britain, he met with a strange group of people and did them a favor by adjucating their disputes in an even-handed manner. In gratitude, they told him that they would give him anything he liked. He asked to be ruler of the world, and they promised him that *L* Of course, the people were fairies. And we all know how fairy bargains end up.

10:21 pm - A Whim and A Hope

A Whim and A Hope Heidi fandom: Anita Blake Vampire Hunter crossposted to abvh100 topic #14: work +++++ I have this fantasy. It's something I keep firmly behind the walls Marianne taught me to build. It's simple really. It's a hope that the triumvirate between myself, Jean-Claude and Richard will actually work. That the three of us would be the team we are supposed to be. That I wouldn't dread seeing Richard, and vice versa. That I wouldn't constantly wonder when the other shoe was about to drop. I doubt it will ever happen and history has proven me right time after time, but every once in a while I get a glimpse that it might actually work between us.

Untitled #1
Anitia Blake Book 100 topic: First lines: "She sighed heavily…" +++
She sighed heavily when she felt his arms wrap around her. She was safe again. The monsters that had chosen to used her for their punching bag had been vanquished and once again she was left to pick up the pieces of the abbreviated vampire war. This continued challenging of Jean Claude was getting old as was having to defend her vampires and do her job as a federal Marshall as well as a member of the RPIT. She knew she'd have to give up the job once of these days as she wasn't giving up the man holding her.

Dish Delish Heidi
Anita Blake Topic: first line: "She licked her fingers slowly…" +++++
She licked her fingers slowly, making sure there was nothing left on her hands. Jean Claude had been the one to bring the ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce in for her. She wasn't sure if he brought it for her pleasure or because *he* wanted to "taste" it through her. She was sure he was regretting his decision when she dropped a spoon on his chest and mixed the hot and cold mixture across his chest her fingers before bending and licking it off. Though she smiled when she heard her bedmates groan and knew they were plotting their revenge.

(Yes, I live.) A trio of semi-drabble for option 3; 'station, golden, wings'.
Gold and Silver Source: Judeo-Christian mythology Words: 100 *feeds Gavriel* Rating: G, PG maybe for religion-ness Genre: Angst! Angst! Angst! Notes: Pure description, imlied angelslash (Gavriel/Lucifer), I tend more towards Hebrew names for the angels.
( Gold and Silver )
Withered Wings Source: Judeo-Christian mythology Words: 100 *feeds her poor, tortured Lucifer* Rating: PG Genre: Bittersweet semi-romance. Notes: Second verse, same as the first. Have I mentioned potentially heretical material yet?
( Withered Wings )
Parting Source: Juedo-Christian mythology. Words: 200. Oh, well. Rating: PG Genre: Unmitigated angst, touch of romance. Notes: Once more with feeling. Really heretical. And angst.
