I don't understand.
So it's not OK to call someone else's beliefs stupid unless of course, they're a Christian.. then it's perfectly acceptable because apparently all Christians are moronic imbeciles?

ETA: So all of the people who think there's nothing wrong with calling beliefs 'stupid' ... would you encourage your children to call other children's beliefs stupid?

The thing is, followers of less common religions get crap all the time. I'm a druidic pagan (with strong reconstructionist leanings) and most people don't have any respect for my religion at all.

I'm told I'm a devil-worshipper fairly regularly. I've been asked if I eat babies. People think everything I do is strange (altars, sacrifices, rituals, what?). I have to fight with my employers every year to have time off to celebrate my holidays. I have to be afraid every time I get a new job about what my employer is going to think about my beliefs. I'm called a whore because my religion doesn't demonize sex, and considered a hedonist because my beliefs don't promote asceticism.

The thing that fundamentally differentiates my religion from Christianity is that mine is largely folkish. We do what we do, and there are no absolutes. People make fun of Christianity largely because there are Xtian whackjobs who run things and are convinced taht EVERY WORD some guy wrote centuries ago is LITERALLY true.

I have the utmost respect for the Christians who follow what Jesus said and show tolerance, promote peace and advocate forgiveness and charity. You know, those who actually follow the main tenets of their religion. But so many use their faith to try to grab power and control everyone else around them; these people deserve to be mocked mercilessly for this.

I think if maybe you could discuss your position with logic and more than made up statistics and a Bible verse it would help. And then don't cry because you were mocked and blame your religion. Some people did mock your religion but moreso because your understanding of some concepts seem naive. At least plead ageism before religion because people mocked your age too.

You could have given arguments that you feel masterbation when used to replace sex is harmful to a marriage but used in union it is beneficial to both or something but the way you described it made it sound like you couldn't masterbate well because you were thinking about the sinning aspect of it and I have bad news for you. If you get that worried during masterbation, sex will be worse. And if you're nervous or anxious or freaked or inexperienced, it won't make it easier.

Just remember- lying is a sin. Faking an orgasm is a lie. Put the pieces together and consider learning what you like. Do it in front of your future husband if it makes you feel better. But don't blame us for persecuting you if you have issues. Blame the Bible for saying it was wrong to learn about your own body.
