I have been asked to pump for someone who just adopted a 2 mionth old who she claims is allergic to formula. My hesitation stems from the fact that while this mama is willing to buy my a double electic from ebay, I am just feeling a bit uneasy that she's asking for this huge time commitment without compensation and while I would pump for a friend at the drop of a hat I'm talking to a total stranger her and am somewhat suspicious of someone who is asking for my milk without asking me any questions re: health, substance use, medications, etc. and who has ignored my question of what the baby is currently eating... also I am waiting to hear back from her WHAT the baby is allergic to (soy? dairy? both?)
Am I just being suspicious?
I've pumped for an adopted baby of a friend in the past, but this is feeling different... and with online communication it's harder to get a good read of the situation.
Feedback?

I'd be really suspicious of anyone who didn't ask the types of questions you indicated, especially given the baby's history of "allergy to formula"
I've donated through milkshare, but it's been at my instigation and only after correspondence with the recipients and health clearances are a big concern.
I say trust your gut.
Report her there. Get her booted. I have a feeling it's not a HER.
The ick-factor is too high on this one to not be. How could someone not ask some very basic questions about your health and at least acknowledge what a commitment it would be for someone?
I shudder to think what some perv might be up to with this one.....
