Welcome to Bones Hush, an icon challenge community based on the television series, Bones which was created on August 30, 2005 by

damnskippytoo who is also the moderator. This is a textless icon community. That means no words of any kind including tiny, unreadable text brushes.

Visitors, please do not take icons without the permission of and proper credit given to the icon artist.

catharsis_o_s for the equally wonderful header and default icon.

The Rules:

Your icon(s) must conform to the Live Journal standards: no larger than 100x100 and 40 kb or less.
Icons should be still (not animated).
Brushes, templates, backgrounds, etc. are permitted.
Do not blend (combine) different caps from the same challenge or add outside images unless otherwise specified in the challenge. You may repeat the cap or a portion of the cap on the same icon.
Submit your icon(s) as a comment to the screencaps/challenge post. Post your icon as an image and put the url for the image below it. Make sure your lj user name is included in the url address in some way (part of the file name is fine). All entries will be screened.
Do not post your icon in your journal or other places prior to the winners announcement.
Enter only newly created icons - not something you've had in your basement for a year.

The Challenges:

The challenges will vary. At times there will be screencaps provided and at other times only a lyric, poem, theme, color or character for which you will choose the cap(s). Or I might think of something else! Requirements of each challenge will be explained.
Voting will be open to members only and will begin shortly after the posting deadline. Entrants may not vote for their own icons. Winners will be announced as soon as possible but (hopefully) no later than sometime Sunday morning.
Banners will only be given to those who request them. Please state if you would like a banner when you post your entries.
Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. A mod's choice award, "The Skeleton Key" will be given only when the moderator feels it is deserved for originality, composition, appropriateness for the theme, and/or just how frickin' gorgeous it is. It may or may not be one of the top three placed icons.

Deadline to Vote: Sundays, 7:00 pm ET (USA)
