| About: | This community is made for all those who love Bonanza. Bonanza was a western tv show that ran from 1959 - 1973. Interestingly, this show was the first show ever in color! It was used for it's outdoor scenes and colorly abundunt episodes as a wagon to sell color tvs. The show surrounds a place called the Ponderosa that lies just outside of Carson City, Nevada. It was built by Ben Cartwright(Lorne Greene) who has three sons- Adam(Pernell Roberts), Eric 'Hoss'(Dan Blocker), and Joseph 'Lil' Joe'(Michael Landon). The show ran for seven years, and then Roberts had to call it quits because of his morals. The show ran for seven more years with people trying to replace the eldest son(Candy, then Jamie). Dan Blocker died unexpectedly in his sleep, and the show ended a year later. This community is dedicated to the legend that lives on with generations to come!
