Welcome to the Bollywood Fanfiction community! This community is devoted to fanfiction based on the characters and movies of Bollywood, which is the name given to the largest cinema industry in India. All types of fanfic are allowed (het, gen, and slash). We encourage all types of fanfiction discussion; plot, characterization, theory posts as they relate to writing fanfic are welcome.

2. Use the MPAA system (G, PG, PG-13, etc.) for rating your fanfiction, and place all fic behind an lj-cut.
3. Please ensure that proper spelling and grammar are used in all fics. A beta is your friend. ;)
4. When posting, remember to use the Memories or Tag system to allow us to keep track of what fics are written and what discussions we have.
5. We recommend a plain text format that preserves line breaks and single-space your text. Left justify your text (as opposed to right, center, or full justification).
6. If there is more than one part to your fanfic, please indicate how many parts there are to the story. If you're not sure yet, indicate that the story as a WIP (work in progress) and mark each chapter as 1/?, 2/?, 3/? and so on.

8. This is a community for fanfiction. Anyone who posts icons, picspam, movie reviews, etc. will get a modly smackdown. HOWEVER...
9. If there is a challenge/fic fest/writing battle in another community that you wish to share with the members of bolly_fics, feel free to make a post that lets us know the details. Someone may be interested. :)
10. Flames, inflammatory remarks and general asshatery will not be tolerated. We're all here to have a good time, hai na?
