First of all, I'd like to apologize for my extended absence!  January was a bit hectic for me, especially at first because I was traveling and attending concerts.  Then I had to get back into school with lesson plans.  Then I had some personal events that kept me from being active very much online.  And then my FTP software was being weird and wouldn't let me open it even though I updated...though I finally was able to get it to work again and so now everything is squared away.  My personal problem...well, let's say that I've finally reached closure for it.  Anyway, I'm sorry for being so late!  And to make up for it, this release includes ALL REMAINING BATCHES of my photobook scans!

(I am deluded and think that the first preview pictures of the entire hall were taken at the concert I was at rather than the last one, haha - so I've circled where I think I am in the picture.  That IS where my actual seat was - the section towards which Maru kicked the mannequin haha...whether that s the correct night is unknown.  My theory is based on the fact that the place where I should be seen is darker, and I am in fact a tanned person...hahaha, don't make fun of my delusions).  I have blown up my very favorite part of the photobook, by the way, haha.

My trip to Kansai was fantastic!  I got to hang around Osaka (and see Yoko's solo con Christmas tree in front of the Shochikuza Theatre, hehe...it's a shame that K8 is so big now that I doubt I will ever get to see a show of theirs in their home-theatre...:( ...maybe Maru will have a solo concert series or show soon and will hold some there...!  After all, he's the only one who doesn't have anything big planned for a while...Yoko had his solo concerts, Hina/Subaru have their crazy-ass-sounding shows coming up, Yasu's got his solo stage show, Ohkura's got "Endless Shock", Ryo's got NEWS gigs...come on, Maru!

Anyway, I also visited Kyoto (which was a bit hectic because of the marathon going on their at the time, so I could only see the Kiyomizu-dera and the Golden Pavilion), Kobe (to visit my friend and meet a new one!  It was fun!), and Nara (deer freak me out =_=;;  I am not an animal person, minus dogs and MAYBE cats...I know that's weird...sorry...I have a lot of funny stories about animals, and now I have some new ones thanks to the Nara deer, haha...ah, and I also saw the giant Buddha in Nara!).

Anyway, today's scan-dump is large!  Why?  Because with the completion of Yoko's solo concerts, there was a brief article about the shows in Oricon Style.  BiDaN has of course completed the individual member series of Kanjani8 photoshoots, so they have now released their February 2008 issue that features the entire group!  And - drum roll please - I have 2 more batches of the Photobook to give you!  AND ONE OF THEM IS THE TOKYO DOME SCANS (YES, THAT MEANS UCHI).

These two pages include a set list of his concerts and shots from the various parts of his concerts.  They have at least a couple of pictures of one of the two shows Maru went to (I heard he went to 2, correct me if I'm wrong...).  Maru sang his MAGIC WORD solo with Yoko on stage and hugged him...!  Awwwwwww!  I felt my heart go all warm and fuzzy when I saw that, hehe.  Yoko looks really good!  If you are interested in reading a concert report on the Yoko con, go here.  My friend Bex (marcasitevah) wrote it up - be nice to her!  She's not that fond of getting a whole lot of spam-thanks, but she of course wants to share!

Yaaaay!  Only 4 batches left!  Aren't you excited?!

Sooooo excited for the next couple of weeks...!  I get to see KinKi Kids AND Countdown on Monday!  Then it'll be off to Yokohama to see the NEWS shows on the 4th!  And then NEWS again on the 9th at Tokyo Dome!  I feel so lucky and happy!  I'm having a very, VERY good winter!  I hope all of you are feeling as sprightly as I am!  Did you have a nice Christmas/winter holiday?  I hope so!  Have a nice New Year, too!

This is a short post because I really have to go pack, like, RIGHT NOW.

I'm sorry these are so late - I had a bad start to the weekend last weekend and needed cheering up, and then this week was of course the last week before winter break for my schools so I was pretty busy most of the time and just couldn't get to these.  I apologize for rips and tears in these sets especially - these were where I made the initial rips when I was doing trial-and-error trying to figure out just how much to heat up the binding to tear things out cleanly.

Because I am in a BIG rush right now, I am only posting MF links.  MF, MU (thanks, Fuu!), DS, and SS (thanks to my birthday-buddy, Genki! ^_^) links are now available.  My private server links will not be up until I return home (12/26 or 12/27) - sorry!  Please make do with what you can.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  If they don't work for you, I'm sorry.  Hopefully someone kind gives me other links to post...other than that, it'll have to wait.  Depending on the internet connection at the hotel in Osaka tonight, I will try to upload them to the other servers I use as well.

お久しぶりです, テレビのスキャン!  Ohisashiburi desu, terebi no scan!  Long time no see, TV scans!

Haha.  I bet the second part of that title surprised some of you regulars, eh?  Well, remember when I said that I would only break from doing just photobook scans if an *important* scan presented itself?  Well...K8 graced the cover of the new TV Guide AND The Television - both magazines were doing one of their year-end sort of issues with a JE focus...and I think even anti-K8 fans (heathens!  just kidding<33 XD) can agree that this was really K8's year out of JE.  Not only did they do their enormous tour, but they had dramas, commercials, appearances (their first ever Utaban appearances!), along with an intensely increasing following both in Japan and out.  Now, it might appear that I'm a little biased, but to be honest, I was a NEWS and Arashi fan hardcore until about March.  K8 was quite the phenomenon this year, I think.  I even heard on Utaban the hosts [jokingly] asked KAT-TUN how it felt for Kanjani8 to be more popular than them!  Sugoi ne?!  I mean, I know it was a joke, but everyone knows that behind every barbed joke there's a bit of truth mixed in.  *dodges pitchforks from avid KAT-TUN fans*

NOTE:  Yes, I realize there is not a private server download link for every set of scans.  I don't want to overload my friend's server...and since she's in the K8 fandom, I decided that K8-related scans take priority right now.  Sorry for non-Eighters.  But so it goes...hopefully one of the free file server links works for you...>_<  Also...I didn't upload the stuff that was generally about JE to the private server, either, though it included K8...to be fair.

TV Guide: 12.15-12.21 2007

What do I mean by "JE Grab Bag"?  Well, TV Guide had a spread of Johnny's Entertainment as a sort of display of the year in general for JE, with pictures of photoshoots and cover shots featuring JE boys - most active JE groups are shown.  Along with this, there's also some pages where TV Guide showed readers' voted favorite JE Christmas songs.  As a testament to the fact that it has been quite the year for K8, Kanjani8 topped the list with their song "10年後の今日の日も" (Juunen go no Kyou no Hi Mo).  Others groups of course make appearances, too - in fact, KinKi Kids has two and Arashi has three.  TOKIO's also in there, as is SMAP, KAT-TUN, and NEWS.  Ah, and in addition to this, I included a couple of pages from the back of the magazine that are calendars showing every debuted JE boy's birthday marked with a little picture of said boy, haha.  For you fans who think you might forget.  There are four pages of T&T Christmas scans.  By the way, TV Guide gave us purchasing readers a "present".  Kanjani8 mini plastic bookmarks!  I've scanned that as well ^__^.  Also, one of my friends had been nosebleed-ridden at the sight of Ohkura pictured with fur a few days ago...and now she gets some more!  Wee!  Haha!

First a "grab bag" and now an album?  Why, yes.  Except I didn't name it "album", haha.  The Television people did.  So basically there's a K8 Christmas spread, and then there's a spread of 2007's JE news...including things like NEWS's return, HYD2, various dramas, K8's tour, KinKi's entrance into the Guinness Book of World Records for most consecutive #1 singles released, etc.  Pretty neat, right?

Here's Batch #01!  The pictures are from Yokohama Arena, which include Yoko's birthday, and there's a shot from his solo where I'm pretty sure he was wearing the DBZ headset thing he talked about getting from the guys with his present of the DBZ movie DVD.  How do I know all this when I read minimal Japanese?  Allow me to pimp my friends' translation community zenkoku47 here - it's run by shiokazehime and solitair, and they are set to translate the photobook contents.  Also, when they post bits of scans, I believe some of those will be mine, since they have gone ahead and asked if it was okay to use mine.  Go read up! :D

NOTE:  If you are able to use the free file servers, PLEASE do, rather than the private server link I have posted.  If the free file server links don't work, by all means use the private server link.  If you can, help would be wonderful, too.  How?  Uploading to another free file server and post the link in a comment here!  I'll credit you and edit the post with the new link, as well.

My favorite word in Japanese is "tabbun".  Why?  Whenever I ask the teachers or supervisors I work with if I can try something or do something new, the answer is usually "tabbun...."  In other words, "maybe", haha.
