Hey everyone, Akiva Peñaloza who some of you may know from the butch femme community as well as her work as a filmmaker has a short film screening on-line that I really enjoyed. Usually I hate shorts because I never understand what's going on (("wait, is that a picture frame or a symbol of a picture frame. Is that a real whale or a symbol of the injustice to cartoon characters") but this one was different. Also, as a special treat, watch for the smart ass body positive comment about halfway through the film. There's also some voting thing going on too, so if you like the film vote for it so it can, I guess, shown on teevee (You guys know how much I know about pop culture). Since I was so busy whining about my sister's behavior, I didn't take the chance to thank everyone who did so many amazing things for me for my 40th birthday. You will be hearing from me individually, but you just need to know I felt love and cared about and really, frankly, cherished. Thanks for everyone who celebrated with me all the different ways, from going out to lunch, to sitting in a hot tub trying to convince a stranger about the importance of trying butt sex. And thanks also for the books and the book gift cards and beef jerky and the AWESOME CAMERA! More from the awesome camera as I learn to use it. And for loving me. Thank you. |
