AboutWelcome to Brokeback drabbles, shorts and challenges for slash writers. This community was established to promote creativity and new exciting reading for those who love Jack and Ennis. We encourage writers to post their work here, and please don't be shy--jump in. New writers and seasoned writers are all welcome to respond and write challenges and drabbles to all of the prompts. Or if you just have a drabble or short you'd like to share, please post it. We'd love to read it. All we ask is if you're posting for a challenge, please don't repost until the alloted time for that particular deadline is given.
We here at Brokeback drabbles give credit and thanks to Annie Proulx for her inspiring short story and to Larry McMurty and Diana Ossana who brought her story to life on the screen. These characters belong to them-- we only barrow them. This community is a tribute to their works.

- Put prompt number or name in the heading.
- Tag your entry with the prompt name.
- Warning if applicable. Non-con, het-sex, violence, death. Rating included (G, PG, PG-13, R or NC-17)
- Include the following before lj cut
- Author (if not anon for contest): Sienata
- Prompt number and/or name: prompt #1 tent
- Word count: small 100
- Put drabble behind cut along with any banners and graphics included with your post.
- Includes the parameters set by prompt.
- Word count for prompt followed (but we'll still read it if you don't follow).
- Follows posting directions (see above).
