Hello all,

Yeah, I've been gone for quite some time now...I know. Just have not really had the time to sit and enjoy a long typed post. I'm currently avoiding math and history homework, so now seemed to be the most opportune time. So to catch those of you up who care/read my journal, I've started school back, quite my job, got a new car, turned 21 and then some in between. I'll try to not write a book...I know a lot of my ramblings get kind of blurred and way too detailed...but like I said...this is where I vent. So you've been warned...as you always are before my posts now days.

So college is ok and slightly annoying as always. I'm absolutely rubbish at math and my professor is a fluddyduddy who stands right in front of the damn board, so you cannot see anything he's writing...and he does not know how to explain all of his steps. So people like me are lost. I'm really trying to just pass the tests and squeek by at this point. History on the other hand is not as much of a headache for me this year, thank god. My prof is really great. She's enthusiastic and does not like the fact that we even have to have tests. So she really tells us what we need to know and tests us over it. Ethics can be interesting and quite boring, depending on the subject matter and how hard it is to understand my lil papa Pete professor from Maine.

Ah! AND...I FINALLY got to my Hanson concert! Good lord I've not seen them since '05...so it was GREAT to see them again. It was like going back to roots. They are such an important part of my music life. Without them, I would not have experienced music the way I have nor had the love and adoration for it. I owe a lot of my happiness to them in what they offered me. So they were great! Really great...they are one of the best bands live. They and Blue October give a hell of a show. So try to catch them while they are touring...it would be a really nice evening out.

Ah and new car *squee* I got an '09 black Nissan Altima Coupe...and it's my baby! It's like my Christine...minus the haunted killing thing lol Though you never know...my brother might have his fate with him *ponders that possibilitiy* I've not named him yet...though believe me I'm thinking. So here he is:

And as for the work thing...fuck that shit. As some know, I worked at a sign company for a year and a half. Was doing ok...started to get a bit jadded with it, but put up with all of my co workers mood swings and tried to not make waves. Well...lets just say that we hit a boiling point and I was not about to take the blame...so I told my "boss" that she had things she needed to work on as well as I if we were gonna make it work. Well that royally pissed her little queen ass off...so we hit a point that we could not come back from. So fuck 'em. Good luck finding anyone else to work for that madness. So currently I am working off and on at the World Trade Center (not market...that isn't until January then again in June) then for a friend of ours that I've known since I was about 9...she runs a thing called "Holiday Season" and she decorates christmas trees, wreaths and everything involved...then installs it all in business buildings for chirstmas. So I'm getting paid more for less hours than I was at the sign place. Thank you *bows*

Annnnd...yup...I'm 21 now *celebrates* Woo! Honestly, nothing different other than ya know...drinks. My two best friends took me out the other night to celebrate with ear peircings, food, drinks and clubs hahah I love them so much. They take me out of my life and let me live with them for a night here and there...and for that I am eternally grateful lol But honestly...I started to feel a bit panicked last week. I mean...I guess you are officially an adult at that age...to everyone that does not know your personal situations that may have aged you to adulthood way before that number...And I've felt  "grown" for some time now...but now it's like the age matches the feeling...you know? Ah, sorry if that makes no sense. But yeah...so we FINALLY got to have a bit of a family vacation. Mom, dad and I went a Friday-Monday roadtrip that involved a stop at Sea World! Oh yes...I was fucking thrilled! Whew, so yeah...sorry I always have to bring my post down with "my brother" shit...but it's something that I live with everyday, so my mind cannot get away from it...and I need a way to get it out. So, on to other things...My lovely friend Parselmouthmama and I have become hopelessly addicted to the new full of awesome vampire show, True Blood. This show kicks so much ass...apparently it's cheesey to a lot of people...which we don't get...we think it's pretty damn clever, funny as hell,  and has everything we love in our movies in it. Sex, drugs, and a hell of a lot of cussing lol Wow, does that knock down our standards for entertainment or what? lol It's been a real enjoyable show for us. We missed having a day of the week that was "ours" when we could make it work. So it's nice to be able to look forward to it every week. So those of you not watching...shame on you...go find it and watch the hell out of it...NOW.

So I guess that's the end of my ramblings. Good to get caught up just a bit. Movies are still amazing...but right now I'm looking forward to more that have not opend yet than ones that are out. So come November...I'll have a lot to talk about.  So go on, live your lives...enjoy the people around you and count your blessings. Tell those who matter to you how much so...Happy Halloween to you all...

Зато каждый вечер мы смотрели по СТС Зачарованных (правда потом их стали показывать в неудачное время и я так и не знаю, чем же все закончилось :0). Но начали показывать Смолвиль.
Много лет спустя... Во сегодня мужу говорю: давай скачаем, посмотрим. Ага, говорит он, давай... с первого сезона...

I haven't posted in almost two weeks.  I'm not dead, just slammed.

Aaaand, I can't stop watching other folks' clips of the concert on youtube and just grinning like an idiot.

Moving on...

Had a first date with a new guy on Thursday.  Very nice, tall, cute enough, personable...all that good stuff.  We'll see.

Stayed at work late Friday night, trying to get out from under the piling-up paperwork.  Finally couldn't take it anymore and got pizza and drinks with my friend Melissa. 

Went to Octoberfest at Reston Towncenter yesterday.  Lots of fun, but pretty low-key.  Later on, a group of 12 of us had a late dinner at a fabulous new Italian restaurant to celebrate my friend, Jane's, birthday.  Oh my God, that food was amazing!  I haven't had a lot of pasta in the last few years and it was like reconnecting with your hot ex-boyfriend who you know you should stay away from, but you just can't help it.  Damn the consequences!  The raspberry martinis were equally satisfying, and also the reason I ended up sleeping on the couch at my friend Jen's house.

Now I'm off to watch the Redskins game with the siblings!

Я постоянно задаюсь вопросом: почему мне не нравится моя профессия, работа, почему мне хочется заниматься графикой, фотографией, визажем (вобщем всякое "ерундой")? И наконец я дала себе ответ (прям для диссертации по психологии ЛОЛ). Я слишком эмоциональна, но замкнута и все свои чувства и эмоции мне приходится показывать через что-то другое + у меня какая-то болезненная тяга к тому, чтобы все вокруг были довольны и счастливы (вот это точно к психоаналитику надо).
Если в моей работе нет творческой составляющей я начинаю впадать в депрессию. Последние пол-года я просто с неимоверными услиями заставляла себя идти на работу, в то время как работая в фотостудии по 12 часов 5 дней в неделю я была всегда довольна ).
Так что всерьез задумываюсь о смене профессии

I often ask myself: why I like to do this and don't like to do that? Why I like to do icons, make-up, haircuts and photos and don't like to be a boss? And now I understand - I like to make people happy.
When I do my icons I want to show some emotions what I feel in that moment.
And I want to show that in my pic. I know they are not good yet, but I'll study... and maybe sometimes I'll can do what I want and maybe be like rustal or karras they are so talanted! (ha-ha, it's my arrogance :D)

My mother e-mailed me this week with a question.

This is more or less copy-pasted from her e-mail, but: a distant cousin of mine has an 11-year-old daughter who has tested into an advanced English class. The teacher has requested she read only material suitable for a high school senior or college student. However, the suggested list seems to have a lot of books with language and sex not appropriate for an 11 year old. So they wanted to know if I had any suggestions of books reading level appropriate and yet not inappropriate for an 11 year old.

Well, it's a smart pre-teen girl and I have a soft spot for those. I've come up with a couple things, but despite attending a college with a fairly sheltered English department, it turns out that most of the books I ultimately kept were the ones from professors who had the fortitude (and tenure) to give us material that might make us uncomfortable. I'd love to suggest my favorite book ever, but not quite yet. Owen Meany's just got a few too many doinks in it.

Many of you are much better-read than I am, so I'm hoping someone will have suggestions, or even just be able to remind me of books I liked that I didn't keep, for whatever reason. I don't know what's on the list she got from her teacher, sorry.

посмотрела сейчас новый трейлер Twilight! Очень даже! И хоть и сделали из вампиров каких-то обезьянок, все равно смотриться не плохо. А уж как он яблоко ловил - вооще отпад. Вобщем, не могу дождаться когда же наступит декабрь.


Ну и о насущном. Мое абсолютное неумене пользоваться поисковиками не то что не пропадает, а просто-таки прогрессирует. Чтобы я не пыталась найти естественно не находится, зато я вечно натыкаюсь на что-нибудь интересное. Вобщем, полезла вчера искать фотки(!), а нашла... трудно поверить уроки французского онлайн

А вы заметили, что с приходом в Найтвиш Анет они стали настоящей ГРУППОЙ, а не придатками Тарьи. Хоть я ее люблю, но все же, мне кажется, она их подавляла. Марко стал чаще петь, а раньше он все больше подпевал Тарье каким-то жутким басох, хотя у него очень приятный голос. И даже на фотках они выглядят более веселыми, чем раньше. А то как не посмотришь, все зомби стоят на заднем плане и Тарья перед ними. Хотя в концертных записях это не так заметно.

Hey all! I have been so busy. My boys are now officially 5! All the time planning their party and now it's all over till next year. i love planning partys. So what can i plan next? :) Well halloween is big here and they got their costumes for their Birthday. They are going as Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles. They tried their outfits on to see if they fit and they look so adorable! My inlaws were here all weekend. We had a nice visit with them as always. My MIL cooked again and boy we could have had you all over we had so much food. it was all so YUMMY! The boys must have asked a million times to open presents all day but we did let them open a couple small things and wait for the rest after dinner. They tore through everything so fast. Of course kids being kids they were like so more presents tomorrow ? LOL We also went to pick out pumpkins for them at this farm , they were scared to go on the hay ride so we just picked ones that they had down by the Country Store instead of trekking to their field up on a hill. We got really nice big ones. As always it's sad to see my Inlaws go. I get along with them. I;m lucky cause alot of people dont get along with their inlaws. they are such warm caring and generous people. My boys miss them terribly and i know my inlaws feel the same. We know they are coming back to visit at Xmas time. So now what to get the boys for Xmas? LOL
Other than that the weather has been really nice.

- Cleaned all the garage sale stuff out of the garage and reboxed it, setting some of it aside to take to Goodwill (probably the one up near work, as we really don't like the shoddy way our local one organizes stuff)

- Bought volume 1 of the Phoenix Wright manga

- Bought a $25 box of glassware at Kohl's for an actual out-of-pocket cost of $2.80 (it was 50% off, on top of which we had a $10 gift card they'd sent in the mail)

- Discovered that this exists and am consumed by the DO WANT

- Trimmed my chive plants, some of which had reached a length of about a foot

- Dug up a spearmint plant from our front yard and repotted it inside, and snipped a piece and hung it to dry; am considering making cookies

This is the dressing I made for that celebratory dinner I made the other night.  It's a small batch and can be scaled up.  I cook to taste so measurements are estimated.  It can also be made into a stuffing just by stuffing it in the bird.

Как-то ничего у меня с моей идей эротической осенней фотосессии не получается. Надо сначала научиться как следует фотографировать, а потом уже выдумывать. Вобщем-то получилась просто съемка для семейного альбома или чтоб на одноклассниках разместить, но не более того :(. Может конечно попадеться 1 приличный кадр, надо внимательно все просмотреть.
