One-We got a new dog, its a female husky we named Naomi...my mom wanted one and we finally found one. Shes 6 years old. Shes ok so far, shes been here since wednesday night. We're starting to train her a bit and stuff. Shes pretty good with our pomeranians, i just get a little freaked out when she tries to play with them cause i'm not used to her playing with them yet. But shes doing good. She does some things like Riggs, but not a lot.
Two-I started school thursday - 11 grade. i need to get used to that too. its ok, but its gonna be a lot of work. i dont really like my schedule, mainly b/c i dont have any of my best friends in my classes except Helena in Music Theory, and Dylan in Italian. I know some other people in my other classes, and a couple of my friends, but not the ones i really wanted in my classes. :/ And my counselor messed up b/c i told her i didnt want italian 3 and she gave it to me anyway, so im mad about that, and im gonna talk to her on the 12th during 2nd period b/c thats the soonest shes available im guessing. In the words of Sammy: ''I had a crappy guidance counselor.'' But i have a crappy guidance counselor. I'm hoping to get out of Italian 3 and get into one of the media classes or something. I shouldnt have to waste my time and work hard in a class i dont want, and dont need. :/
I wanted to write about Hanson as well, but i dunno what to say except they get more amazing everytime i see them and i love them so much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwX5SArqGKU
Season 4 of Supernatural comes on in 11 days! yay! I cant wait...i dont want too.lol.

Getting ready for some football....so watching NBC right now. |
] |
So, there are three teams in the NFL East right now that are 1-0. Everyone except...the Redskins. Does that seem a bit weird? Well, I guess I shouldn't be saying that because they did lose to the Giants on Thursday. I don't know if I'm supposed to feel sorry for Matt Cassel or not. And the only reason why I'm saying that is because the Pats still beat the Chiefs today. Yeah I know, the Chiefs aren't a very good team. But I keep thinking that if Croyle hadn't gotten hurt...maybe the Chiefs could have won the game. Brett Favre's still got it. Seriously, that play on 4th and 13...good lord. I think he can make the Jets win a lot more games. The Jets' next game is against the Pats. I'm not going to say that a win could be definite right now, but if the Jets play the way they did today... hell they could have a shot against the Pats next week. I doubt that Brady is going to be playing. He'll probably be out for two-four weeks with this knee injury...but that's just my opinion. Some surprises: Kurt Warner played pretty well today. Jags lost to the Titans. THE TITANS?! Are you kidding me?! And Vince Young was injured too! Atlanta I think can pick itself up this year. After what I saw today, I think they have a good shot at winning some pretty big games this year. I mean, they did beat Detroit, who isn't that great of a team. But still...who knows? MCNABB IS BACK! Good lord. Now I want him on my fantasy football team. Screw Tom Brady! :-p Did anyone possibly think that the PANTHERS would be SAN D-FREAKIN-IEGO?! I think I'm still laughing from that! Hell...the only team that isn't going to be 0-1 in the AFC West this week will be Denver (cause they'll end up kicking the crap out of Oakland tomorrow). I can just feel it. Ok, I'll have some more stuff to talk about tomorrow night after I watch some Monday night football. Honestly....I'm not giving much hope to the Packers. Not trying to be rude or anything, but Aaron Rodgers is going to have a TON of pressure on him tomorrow night. I mean, honestly I'll be all for it if he can do a good job tomorrow night so I'm not going to say anything else. Ok, Bears vs. Colts game coming up pretty soon so I'm going to get off. Hope you guys have a great rest of the day! GO COLTS! Edit: Sorry for all you Pats fans on my flist and I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but I just read on NFL.com that Brady could be out for eight months. :(

Comment and I'll give you a letter. Then you have to list ten things you LOVE that begin with that letter. Afterward, post this in your journal and give out some letters of your own.
My letter is Q, and since i don't have 10 things I LOVE you'll all have to settle for a few things I like reasonably well and a couple things that might be ok given certain circumstances.
1. Quiet 2. Quilts 3. Quakes (as in short of earthquakes) 4. Quiche 5. Quesadillas 6. Quantum Leap (it's been a fair long time since i've seen it though) 7.Q (from star trek) 8. Questions 9. Quite 10.Quit

Kinda tempted to go for the YA Committee interview, it's more on community service, animal welfare. animals, major soft spot. lol. And the meetings are pretty infrequent, only when there's events. But I don't wanna be saying no to the best things cos I've said yes to the good ones; today's sermon. So guess it's out.

I'm having a hard time finding Supernatural season three with the Metallicar and all I get are stupid blank looks whenever I ask anyone. :( Have any Canadians had any luck in finding it? If so where? Or do we even get it, because I heard that Canada would.
Thank you!!!!

| Dumb Frog |
[06 Sep 2008|05:26pm] |
There is a frog that likes to hang out on our back door at night. I don't mind him because he eats all the stupid bugs that try to get into the house. Well the last few days the little shit has got into the house when mom goes out the back door and lets him in.
So its my job is to go chase him around the house and catch him to throw him outside. Ive got carpet burns on both legs and banged my head like three times because im looking down and run into stuff.
Last night he got in again and mom comences yelling at me to come get him. Good thing i actually like frogs. So after 5 minutes of running around the kitchen I catch him but I really dont have a good grip on the little sucker so i run over to the back door to throw him out. I pull it open but in the process take off the ends of my toes on my foot and split all the nails.
Next time you get in I'm letting Jae actually eat you.

* * *

| A few things. |
[04 Sep 2008|08:58pm] |
|
1. YES WE ARE STILL ON FOR TOMORROW. Im thinking 5 to beat the crowds.
2. LOVE YOU MARY and you could probably do them here just bring your own detergent.
3. Im almost packed. Books are in about a dozen bags at the foot of my bed. Clothes are done. Just now have to wait and get a few last things.
and last but not least....
4. It seems a certain someone in the group has decided to read the Book That Shall Not Be Named. There is no doubt in my mind as to the absolute filth of these "books" and i doubt my opinion can be swayed in this matter. I have read the first chapter so I have some credibility in this subject. If this person decided to fufil their promise to read this trash they will be cut out of my life forever. I refuse to associate with anyone who knowingly reads the book after there has been ample warning on the subject. There is one exception but that was an accident and she hadnt heard my warnings but she did relized how bad the book in question actually is.
But seriously I will not stand by and let there be books where vampires "SPARKLE"
You have my warning.

ORLANDO BLOOM ON GIVING PEOPLE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER IN NEPAL
Every day, 5,000 children around the world die and many more become ill because of diseases spread by unclean water and poor sanitation. I travelled to Nepal recently and saw how children and their families have no choice but to drink contaminated water from local wells and rivers. Around 13,000 children under the age of five in Nepal died last year due to diarrhoea. We drove an hour from the capital Kathmandu to Dhulikhel, where I met six-year-old Manisha who lives with her grandparents. Manisha's grandmother gets up at 2am every day and walks to the well to get water. It's their only source of water. If she goes any later, there is likely to be a long queue and she probably wouldn't get enough for the whole family. I walked with Manisha to the well along a busy main road. It was very hot and humid. I wondered what it must be like for Manisha's grandmother, who often carries 20 litres of water three or four times a day. It is real back-breaking work for people in Nepal. In another village I also met women and children collecting water from a river. Looking around, I could see the different ways that the river gets contaminated. There was a dead rat on the river bank, people bathing and washing their clothes in the river, and runoff from the paddy fields contaminated by animal waste. Water is essential for life. But many people in Nepal can only get water that is contaminated. I was able to see firsthand how water taps have made a huge impact in Kaaldhara, a remote mountain village. People there can just pop outside their homes to get clean water from taps dotted around the village. Naya, 74, told me how they used to walk for 30 minutes to get water. She added: "The taps were installed seven years ago and it has made a big difference to our lives. "I can get water easily and our children don't get ill." Unicef has been doing what it can to supply safe water to families but much more needs to be done. My message is simple - by donating to Unicef and helping to supply clean water, you would change not just one person's life, but the lives of a whole community, for years to come. Last year in Nepal, 13,000 children died as a result of illnesses caused by drinking unsafe water.
