Unofficial Announcement - October 22nd radio show with Christina Cox
I haven't made the official announcement yet, so there is no link, but I wanted to let people know due to the unusual circumstances of the situation.
I've been hosting the "Femslash 4 Fans" radio show for almost five months on Blogtalkradio.com. Each show, if you've never heard of it, is devoted to interviewing 2-3 fanfic authors from a specific fandom. And the topic, in case you hadn't guessed from the title, is always femslash.
Earlier this month I hosted a show on the unaired Nikki & Nora pilot. Around that time, I was contacted by show creator Nancylee Myatt about possibly doing an interview with her, as well as with stars Liz Vassey and Christina Cox. Naturally I said yes, but after several emails they concluded that it would be impossible to reconcile all of their schedules.
Therefore, we're settling for the next best thing. On October 22nd, 2009, starting at 9 PM EST, I will be hosting my interview of Myatt, Vassey, and Cox. However, this interview will be conducted entirely via email. They're going to answer questions in advance, and then their answers will be read out loud by volunteers on the show.
They won't be just my questions, however. They'll be yours.
From now until midnight Friday, October 16th, 2009, fans are encouraged to submit questions to me at eac2nd@yahoo.com which they'd like to ask one, two, or all three of my guests. Myatt has told me that they're willing to answer 20 questions each. The focus of the show will be on Nikki & Nora, BUT they will also field questions about their other projects. So a few lucky fans will have a question answered about THEIR favorite fandom.
So, if you have a South of Nowhere question for writer/producer Nancylee Myatt, go for it. A CSI question for Liz Vassey, who plays Wendy? Ask away. Or a Blood Ties question for Christina Cox, who played Vicki? Fair game. You get the idea. Note that this is a femslash-oriented program, so this is the perfect time to ask about canon pairings, lesbian subtext, whatever. I ask only that fans limit themselves to one question apiece.
In a few days I'll post a list of all the questions that have been asked to that point, so that people don't start repeating each other.
You can also email me if you have any questions, or go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allain
Remember, the deadline is just 7 days and less than 9 hours away :)
Sincerely, Allaine
