Hi *waves*! I've only recently discovered the joys of Blood Ties, and couldn't resist the temptation of writing a oneshot.

Author’s Note: This is my first attempt at writing Blood Ties fanfiction, so it’s mostly an exploration of my two favourite characters – Vicki and Henry – with a little hurt/comfort and het thrown into the mix. The title is taken from the song “The Impossible Dream”, the central performance of the musical “Man of La Mancha”. The phrase “meal-on-legs” used in the story, is of course shamelessly stolen from Spike, BtVS ep “Belonging” 2.22.
