Welcome to Blonde Gothic! We are a fashion and beauty community, focusing on, but not limited to, alternative beauty.
Gothic doesn't just mean black hair and black eyeliner. Nor does this community. Our goal here is to share make up, hair, fashion and beauty related information, tips, advice, suggestions, questions and (hopefully) answers that anyone, of any sex, size, race, region, lifestyle or belief, looking for something different and exotic may find useful. Since "being Gothic," is ultimately a state of mind, there is so much more than just the same ol', same ol' pale skin, black hair beauty routine. This community is an open forum for anyone who is Goth at heart to share and learn about what they consider beautiful.
After all, beauty is in the kohl-lined eye of its beholder.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:
1. Please be polite and mindful of other members. We're here to offer helpful criticism, support and suggestions. Beauty is very much subjective. An open mind is always beautiful. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Posts will be removed and posters will be reported.
2. Please keep posts beauty and fashion related. This includes, but is not limited to, hair cut, color and style, make up products, safety and application, skin care, nail style and care, body modification, clothes, accessories, fashion and body image. If you are unsure whether or not your post is on topic, please feel free to e-mail the moderator and ask. Posts that are deemed not relevant will be removed.
3. This goes for advertising and photos as well. Please keep advertising limited and on topic. Please place advertisements, promotions and multiple photos behind a cut. If you're not sure how to do this, please go to Live Journal FAQ on using an LJ Cut for more information.
4. Please refrain from discussions regarding activities or practices that are illegal. Also, while it is hard to dictate what may or may not be ethical or moral, please use common sense when making suggestions (in other words, lets not encourage 8 year olds to pierce their own eyebrows or to dye their hair blue against a parent's wishes).
5. Please feel free to offer product and service reviews and suggestions! It's a great way to learn. However, please keep in mind that everyone is different and what works for you, may not work the same way for someone else. Please keep in mind that suggestions are just that and one should always read and carefully follow the directions on any product suggested to them.
6. Please be mindful of grammar and spelling in your posts. Granted, this is not an English final, however, no one can respond to your post if they are not able to read it. The age range of those practicing an "alternative lifestyle" is phenomenal. You will be taken far more seriously if you phrase and type things seriously. That includes proper use of language. Peeps are marshmallow candies -- NOT your friends.
