So I made it over to the Blindside show in Diamond Bar, CA this evening that was mentioned in the previous post. I'm still recovering...the guys had a lot of energy like always and blew my mind. Great interaction with the crowd. Sounded fantastic. They stuck mostly to the power ballads and everything was from Silence forward, including one song from the new album. Here's the track list, although some of the songs in the middle may not be in order:

They confirmed that they had just finished recording in LA the day before, and as I said, sang one song from the new album: My Heart Escapes. It was a heavy power ballad in their normal tradition, and very good, although it'll be interesting to hear how it sounds on the CD. They didn't reveal a release date or title, although it will be out in the first half of 2010.

I'm reposting this from my journal but slightly edited as I remembered other stuff/cut out some of the excessive cussing because I'm sure most of you wouldn't appreciate it. :]
Okay so that was the most amazing experience of my freaking LIFE. Why don't I go to concerts more often? This seriously completed my life, I mean... fas;ldfk;asdf.
Okay so we drive down there. Dallas is HUGE. From the time we hit the Texas border til we got there, all of it was just CITY CITY CITY. It was sort of terrifying really but we made it! So we go inside and stand around, waiting for the first band to start while I've got nervous butterflies like crazy. First band was okay, (can't remember their names, lol) they were pretty hardcore 'n stuff but nobody was getting into it since it was for the first set. Second band was The Knockout Kings which I adored. The lead singer was sooo amazing and cute and funny, haha. The crowd was kinda 'eh' and he kept hounding us for not liking fun and asking if punk rock had died here. XD He also asked who had beat Halo 3 which was cute. I should have recorded some of it but I was saving it for ~Blindside~. But yeah they were pretty amazing, Tyler and I stood in the crowd for their whole set.
After theirs was done it was Edison Glass. By this time I was so freaking anxious to see Blindside I just wanted them to be done. Besides I just couldn't get into their stuff. It was just meh to me. So we sat down and waited. Their last song seemed to take FOREVER.
OH YEAH and while we were standing around SIMON walked passed and I was like OMGIT'SSIMONOMG and I turned to Tyler and I was like !!!SIMON! And he was like 'wut'. XD Anywho finallyfinally they were done and then it was BLINDSIDE'S TURN and omg I was SO nervous. I wanted to get up front but I just couldn't. Too many people and I didn't want to get killed in a "old school circle pit" (as Christian put it ♥). So we get in to the left and it's taking FOREVER for them to set it up and I'm so nervous and giddy. Finally the lights go down and everyone's cheering "BLINDSIDE!" which makes me even more happy. ♥ When they were coming down to the stage they all peeked out of this little window and it was SO CUTE OMG. After they got on everyone pretty much went batshit insane. It was pretty amazing.
CHRISTIAN MAKES MY LIFE. SO HOT/AMAZING/ADORABLE/FUNNY/ECT. So they started playing and Tyler and I are both jamming the eff out. It was like everyone had disappeared and it was just us with them, I wasn't uncomfortable around other people about screaming my head off or anything. At one point they messed up and Christian was like, "Sorry we messed up, but honestly I don't care I'm just really glad to be here with you guys." :D :D :D and they were trying to fix it and he comes back to the mic and was like, "I feel like I should say something but I don't know what." XD He then went on to talk about the shirts 'n stuff for sale. I got that part on video. :D He also tried to walk on the crowd but it didn't work out. :[
They went offstage after Caught a Glimpse (if I remember correctly) and I was like 'NOO IT CAN'T BE OVAR' and then everyone was like 'ONE MORE SONG!' and they all peeked through the window thing again and then came back and we all cheered. Adorable! Christian kept asking what we wanted to hear and I, among a lot of other people, kept screaming King of the Closet, and just before the set was over he said that one of the guys in Edison Glass really liked KotC and since this was their last concert they would play it even though they hadn't played the rest of the tour. I WAS SO HAPPY. I LOVE THAT SONG. EVERYONE went crazy over it. After that they played Silence and it was so freaking amazing. The whole crowd was really into it and it was just ♥♥♥♥♥.
Christian was amazing. He was just SO into it and I could just tell that he was sincere about everything and it just made it 10000x better. After Silence he said that he just didn't want the night to end and he wanted to keep playing but they wouldn't come out after that, maybe just to 'hang out with you guys' and i was like !!!!! I COULD MEET CHRISTIAN ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS. So we hang out afterwards for a while and I see the drummer Marcus come down and I was like 'Oh hey I should get his autograph toooo' so I went over to him and got it, Simon and Tomas are signing up on stage and I was like 'SWEET.' but by the time we got to them they had gotten up to help pack up. Tyler was really tired and kept saying he wanted to go home but I REALLY wanted to meet Christian but it was taking a long time and finally Tyler was like "I WANNA GO HOME" and I was like :[ okay. So I just got Marcus' signature. He seemed so shy and nice, it was cute. But I was kinda upset I didn't get to see Christian. I just wanted a hug from him. OHMAN that would have been amazing. Oh well. IT WAS AMAZING OVERALL. And I shall put pictures/video behind a cut. ♥

I remembered this the other day and thought I'd post it here in case some people hadn't seen it/knew about it. Blindside was in P.O.D.'s video Boom. They're the Swedish ping-pong team. :D SO CUTE.

In other news I was at the Dallas concert! Was anyone else there? It was AMAZING. I got Marcus' signature, but the others were too busy and it was late.

This week we welcome the newest member of the blindside family. Tindra Lindskog came into the world on September 12th. Mama and baby are both doing well and Papa Christian could not be more in love.
Now you may understand why we chose to keep this tour short. As a band we have tried always to make decisions not based on what would propel our fame but what is right for us and our families. Christian and Elina are grateful for your prayers and support through this wonderful time.

The Black Rose Tour starts next week in the US. Tickets are moving fast and we believe that all dates will sell out.
We know advance tickets are often hard to find and have put all the info on the web site so click here to get you tickets now. We have already started discussing a west coast tour in early 2008.
We are also discussing the wider release of our brand new BLACK ROSE EP with some labels and hope to have a new full length available in 2008. Awwwwwwwww baby! I didn't even know his wife was pregnant, but I guess it's not something that would be well known. Also, Tyler and I bought tickets to the Dallas show, so it's official -- we are going to see them live! I'm so excited! I was going to make a Blindside shirt but our printer isn't working. :[

I just want to extend my congratulations to Christian and Elina on the birth of their daughter this past month. (For U.S. fans, this is why the tour is so short, but I think that's understandable.)
