| About: |
Welcome to bleedingbeauty_! We are an 18+ (members only) rating community. We look for physical beauty, intelligence, conviction, eloquence, and a drive to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally. Our members are respectful, but honest with their opinions of applicants. You will receive constructive criticism, and it may be harsh. If you cannot handle that, do not apply.
If you're accepted, you'll connect with thirty other members who have those same traits described above, but from different backgrounds, with different lifestyles. BB_ is full of zombie lovers, southern belles, scenesters, hot secretaries, and more, and we do our best to keep our eyes open to new kinds of beauty to be inspired by.
Feel free to contact a moderator or comment here if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, or drop a line in the suggestion box. Good luck in applying!

[1] We only allow members who are eighteen and older. We strive to attract a more mature crowd and to be able to post pictures of an adult (but TASTEFUL) nature without violating LJ TOS.*
[2] Our application rocks. We have 15 mandatory questions and 9 "applicant's choice" questions. For the latter, you get to choose from a list of 25 questions to answer! There are over a million possibilities... Literally!
[3] We have vote-offs monthly. Once per month we all vote to drop our number of members back to thirty: members that don't make an effort, connect with others, or are simply inactive are removed. It sounds a bit harsh, but we want only the best! At the time of vote-offs we will also be voting on a Member of the Month. You can read more about this process here.
[4] This community goes by a 2 STRIKE policy. You earn strikes by doing the following: A.) Getting rejected; B.) Getting voted off; or C.) Getting kicked out because of inactivity (this includes not participating in vote-offs). If you have one strike, you are still in good standing with the community and are able to reapply. If you earn two strikes, you will be banned from the community.
*We fully support genderqueer and androgynous applicants. We are allowing a limited number of biologically male applicants on a case-by-case basis; This may change in the future and, if it does, the userinfo will be updated to reflect that change.

[1] You must be at least 18 years of age to join this community and have your full birthdate listed in your profile as proof of age. All joinings will be approved by default_setting, and you will not gain access to the community unless your birthdate is listed (and you are 18+). You must keep your birthdate listed in your profile to remain in the community. NOTE: If you join repetitively and do not post an application, you will be banned.
[2] Please post your application within a 48 hours of joining or you will be removed. Applications will be approved by craftyasparagus.
[3] Put "FRESH MEAT" in the subject line of your application and "GNAW ON ME" in your lj-cut so we know you read the rules. Also please tag your application as "applications".
[4] Put some effort into your application! If you lazily fill it out with short, boring, and uninformative answers you will probably not get in, even if you are drop dead gorgeous! On the flip side, pay attention to the photo section: we hate MySpace angles, Photoshopping, and only posting photos that show half of your face. If we can't see you, it doesn't matter how good your application is: you'll get rejected.
[5] Do not delete your application OR EDIT IT IN ANY WAY once its been posted, unless you have a moderator's permission. This will result in your immediate banning, and you will not be elligable to reapply to the community. Ever. Seriously.
[6] No posting or commenting on posts (other than your application) until you have been approved. Applications are usually up for at least two days, so just hold onto your panties and wait to be stamped.
[7] Feel free to speak your mind: be constructive, be blunt, but above all be honest. As long as you aren't attacking the members or the community itself, the mods won't ban you for the content of your application or responses to votes. This community accepts both the sweet girls and the bitches, so respect the people here and they will respect you. If the applications moderator thinks you are intentionally starting drama, you will get one warning. If you continue she will ban you.
[8] To be accepted, you must have 66.6% of the vote (2/3 votes saying yes). If you are rejected, you will receive one strike and you will be able to reapply in two weeks. A moderator will comment on your journal and let you know when you are eligible to reapply. If you do not make it in the second time around, you will receive a second strike and you will be banned from the community.

[1] Once you are accepted, your posts will be unmoderated. You may post anything you like, but you must TAG your entries. If you don't know how to tag entries, please see this post! Also, you MUST put the number of points you've earned in your subject line!! If you're not sure how many points you've earned, check the points system! IF YOU DO NOT TAG YOUR POSTS OR ADD UP YOUR POINTS AND PUT THEM IN THE SUBJECT LINE, YOU WILL NOT GET POINTS FOR THEM!!
[2] Please be courteous! Remember to use the lj-cut for large posts and pictures/videos! All NSFW (not safe for work, things of an adult nature) material needs to be completely behind an lj-cut, along with a warning! Also, please combine multiple themes to ONE post so the community isn't clogged.
[3] You must obtain 50 points your first month as a member, and 100 points each month after that. At the first of each month your score will be reset to zero. If you fail to obtain these points, you will receive a warning. If don't get 100 points a second month in a row, you will be found inactive and will receive a strike.
[4] You will be awarded points in several different ways, including participating in themes, posting, and even promoting. Points may be exchanged for cool stuff, like having your vote count x2 or x3. You may read about ways to earn points here and ways to trade in points here.
[5] When voting you should always bold a yes or no (or put your answer in the subject line of your comment) and give a reason with your vote. Please be POLITE and remember that constructive criticism is usually most effective when voting.
[6] As with applying, feel free to speak your mind while being respectful of others (see Rules for Applicants, #7). Be honest and offer criticism, but don't go out of your way to insult someone. Childish name-calling will show us that you are unintelligent and that you don't belong here. People who intentionally start drama are often voted out of the community or, under extreme circumstances, banned by the moderators.
[7] If you need to go on hiatus, please let a moderator know! You can do this by making a post in the community or commenting on the memberlist. Please use the "hiatus" tag when going on AND COMING BACK FROM hiatus! You will get a strike against yourself if don't make a "hiatus post" and don't get the required number of points. (Note: Being on hiatus does not make you immune from vote-offs, but will excuse you from making the required number of points.)
[8] If you decide to change your username, you must let the moderators know (NOTE: SEE #9]. If you wish to leave the community entirely, please make a post or comment on the memberlist and let us know you're leaving for good. If we have to track you down to find out you left, you will be banned. If you leave on good terms and let us know formally, you will be allowed to reapply with no strikes!
[9] Once you have been accepted, you may not edit your original application except to: a) Add updated photos; or b) Fix broken links. These changes must be noted on your application (example: caption each new photo with "Photo added March 2008.") You must get a craftyasparagus's permission to edit any other portion of your post, including html and textual content (even if that change is factual; example: your age). Members who edit their applications, other than with the approved content listed above, will receive a warning (two warnings = getting kicked out). If a current member creates a new username and wishes to be listed on the member list under that new name, she must re-port her application, in full, under that new username. (She can fill out the application again, or copy-paste her old application.) The member must list, under the "How did you find us" question, this information: a) Her previous username; and b) A link to her old application. The new application must also be tagged with the new username, the old username, and the "applications" tag. (If you have not been given a new username tag, please send a comment to lipstickrivalry asking her to create you one.)
[10] Do not promote other communities in bleedingbeauty_. If you think your promotion is somehow an exception, please contact craftyasparagus and explain why.
