Welcome to bleedingbeauty_! Welcome to

bleedingbeauty_! We are an adult (18+) members-only rating community. We look for physical beauty, intelligence, conviction, eloquence, and a drive to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally. Our members are respectful but honest: you will receive constructive criticism, which may be harsh. Those who are easily offended should not apply.

Those accepted into the community will connect with thirty other women, each from different backgrounds, with different lifestyles - geeky gamers, city girls, scenesters, hot secretaries - but all with the same drive: to grow into more beautiful women (inside and out) and to help others do the same. Our goal is to be inspired by and learn from each others' experiences, lifestyles, and overall beauty.

Past MotMs

How we're different.[1] We only allow members who are eighteen and older. We're looking for a more mature, growth-oriented crowd in

bleedingbeauty_. Additionally, this rule allows us to post adult content without violating LJ TOS.*

[2] Our application rocks. We have 15 mandatory questions and 8 "applicant's choice" questions. For the latter, you get to choose from a list of 25 questions to answer. There are over a million possibilities... Literally!

[3] We have monthly vote-offs. At the end of each month, we reset our member list back to thirty: those that don't make an effort, connect with others, or are simply inactive are voted out by their peers. We also vote for a Member of the Month, which is recognized as having the greatest impact on the community during the previous month. You can read more about this process here.

[4] This community goes by a 2 STRIKE policy. You earn strikes by A.) Having your application rejected; B.) Being voted off; and C.) Being removed due to inactivity. If you have one strike, you are still in good standing with the community and are able to reapply. If you earn two strikes, you will be banned from the community.

Rules for applicants.[1] At this time,

bleedingbeauty_ is a ladies-only community. We only accept applicants who identify as female. (This includes MTF applicants.)

[2] You must be at least 18 years of age and have your full birthdate listed in your profile to join this community. If you've followed these rules, your request to join will be approved by

ellio. You must keep your birthdate listed in your profile at all times to remain in the community.

[3] Please post your application within a 48 hours of joining the community. If you do not post an application within 48 hours of joining, you will be removed from the community. Applications are reviewed by

hilikus_fine. If you join repetitively and do not post an application, you will be banned.

[4] Please tag your application as "applications," put "FRESH MEAT" in the subject line, and use the phrase "GNAW ON ME" in your lj-cut so we know you read the rules.

[5] A helpful hint: take your time and put some effort into your application. You are being rated not only on outer beauty (and yes, that IS rated), but also on the way you represent yourself in text. Responses that are short, boring or not thought out are the easiest way to earn a rejected stamp. On the flip side, pay attention to the photo section: we hate loads of MySpace angles, Photoshopping, and photos that show half of your face. If we can't see you, it doesn't matter how good your application is: you'll get rejected.

[6] Do not attempt to delete or edit your application IN ANY WAY once it has been posted, unless you have a moderator's permission. Doing so will cause you to be immediately rejected and banned from the community.

[7] Do not post or comment on posts (other than your application) until you have been accepted. Applications are usually up for at least two days, so just hold on to your panties and wait to be stamped.

[8] When responding to votes, speak your mind! We value honest, constructive applicants who aren't afraid to stand by their beliefs. As long as you aren't attacking the members or the community itself, the mods won't ban you for the content of your application or responses to votes. However, if the applications moderator thinks you are intentionally starting drama, you will get one warning. After that, she'll ban your ass.

[9] To be accepted, you must have 66.6% of the vote. If you are rejected, you will receive one strike and be able to reapply in two weeks. If you are rejected a second time, you will receive a second strike and be banned from the community.

Rules for members.
[1] Once you are accepted, your posts will be unmoderated. The goal of this community is to develop connections with and learn from each other, so try to make your posts interactive in some way. If your posts read like journal entries, with no room for questions, comments or discussion...well, you might as well just post on your personal journal.

[2] Please TAG your entries, and enter the number of POINTS for that entry into the subject line of the post. If you don't know how to tag entries, please see this post or contact

necrolatry. If you're not sure how many points you've earned, check the points page. IF YOU DO NOT TAG YOUR POSTS OR ADD UP YOUR POINTS AND PUT THEM IN THE SUBJECT LINE, YOU WILL NOT GET POINTS FOR YOUR POSTS.

[3] Please use the lj-cut for large posts and pictures/videos. All NSFW (explicit, adult) material needs to be completely behind an lj-cut, along with a warning.

[4] DO NOT delete your entries or comments. Instead, think before you make them. If you delete your entry or comment, you will receive a warning. If you continue to delete entries and/or comments,

craftyasparagus will deal with you as she sees fit.

[5] During your first month as a member, you must obtain 50 POINTS. For each additional month, you must obtain 100 points. If you fail to meet this goal, you will receive a warning. If you receive a warning two months in a row, you will be found inactive, receive a strike, and be removed from the community. For more information on how to earn points, please see this post. [6] If you need to go on HIATUS, make a post in the community and comment on the member list. Please use the "hiatus" tag when going on and coming back from hiatus. You will get a strike against yourself if don't make a "hiatus post" and don't get the required number of points. (Note: Being on hiatus does not make you immune from vote-offs.)

[7] Once you have been accepted, you may not edit your original application. Members who edit their applications will receive a warning. However, you may create a new application, with updated infrormation, once per year. Please contact

hilikus_fine for details and rules.

[8] When voting on potential members, put your vote in the subject line and give a reason for your vote in the main comment section. Please be constructive with your criticism of applicants. Those that aren't accepted should know, by the time they're stamped, what they can do to better themselves.

[9] Do not promote other communities in

bleedingbeauty_. If you think your promotion is somehow an exception, please contact

craftyasparagus and explain why.

[10] If you wish to leave the community, please make a post or comment on the member list and let us know. If we have to track you down to find out you left, you will be banned. If you leave on good terms, you will be allowed to reapply with no strikes!

[11] If you delete your journal without notifying us first, you will be removed from the community and forced to reapply.
