Bleach 4 OST

  • Dec. 18th, 2009 at 12:30 AM

Enjoy the rockin' soundtrack, some tracks are the same but pitches are either lower or higher. I guess that's where the Tousen fly comes in for the instructions of music...

Christmas Omake!

  • Dec. 17th, 2009 at 10:35 PM
Four panel Christmas Bleach omake! Every comic in WSJ had one! Thanks to Annie for finding it and Pikeish for translating it. It's posted in the IchiRuki FC at BA HERE. Iba... LOL. Now we're waiting for a picture of the spine with Rukia on it! Won't someone take a pic of it, please? It's said you can see Chad's muscles in it so he's the third guy in the 2010 Year of Bleach line-up.

Kuchiki Byakuya [fanart]

I took a break from drawing Nnoitra every five seconds, because the most recent episode made me a bit sad, after weeks of being frustrated with it. I conveyed it through Byakkun :)

Bleach Movie #4

  • Dec. 16th, 2009 at 10:02 PM
Thank you Syn and Zan for the update and poster images about movie 4 that came out with this week's Bleach chapter. Looks like the movie is going to feature Ichigo big bad Hollow form and is coming out next December. We'll be told more about the movie in the next issue of WSJ (two weeks from now--there's a break for Xmas) Side one of the poster with bloody Hollowfied Ichigo (click to enlarge) is hella cool with nifty textures and blood spatterings. Very creepy. The other side of the poster (click to enlarge) features a standard Kubo spread of amazing composition and fun perspective--does anyone want to comment on Aizen's swirly versus Ichigo's flowy and how the beam divides the deep hole from the upper city? Wait--what's Tousen doing there? If this is the movie, does Tousen live? Only two years to wait for a sub in English. *sigh*
[info]pikeish  of text on the poster. The movie poster side features Ichigo's Hollow in "sumie-style" the poster says and it was drawn by Kudo, not Kubo (the other side, the one with Ichigo and the three villians is classic Kubo). Sumie style was used in ancient Japanese art to represent hell and demons like this picture of Emna.
announcement text ) There was also a 4-panel Christmas omake of Ichigo in SS that came along with this chapter but hasn't surfaced yet and we don't have pictures of the spine yet either. I'll have those for you when they appear. All we know is that the spine is Rukia and it looks like Chad is going to be the third character of the year on the spine of 2010 WSJ Year of Bleach.

Avez-vous une intime conviction ?

  • Dec. 13th, 2009 at 7:54 PM
This French sentence is highly connoted; it's used in law courts, asking the jurors their conviction about the innocence or culpability of a man. It's meant to ask what is your own opinion, that you have deep inside of you, about this story. This is also something I have in my signature in BA, for more than a year now.

Mod Post: Bleachness Rules and Guidelines

  • Dec. 13th, 2009 at 10:55 AM
important!wordy!blah and more blah! )

I welcome comments to this manifesto here before I link it to the user page. I could change some things depending on what sort of feedback I get.
Hello, I'm a long-time lurker (this place is a great lurkdom), and I think this is my first time ever opening a post here. I've been interested in Koto's international exchange of having Rukia in different cultural costumes for a while now, but I've been so busy with school that I only recently have time to draw anything for fun at all. I'm so happy to finally finish this one and contribute to the community.

Here is the picture.

If anyone is familiar with my drawings, they'll know that I mainly draw Byakuya/Hisana, so I can't resist putting Hisana in costume here as well. Have the Kuchiki sisters in Vietnamese ao dai. Hope it's still okay. Two for the price of one! :D

Soul Society

  • Dec. 12th, 2009 at 7:58 PM
Alright, so I am not sure if this has been discussed before, but I have two questions regarding Soul Society, as I am not sure what to think.

1. The fact that Soul Society is clearly Japanese is due to Kubo's nationality and stands as a kind of logical mistake? I mean, it's not only that everyone dresses Japanese way, talk Japanese, but there wasn't even one character that had none-Japanese name. Or are there more Soul Societies? Like, for Europe, America etc.? Or is it universal? If so, then where are people of other countries?

2. I know shinigami live a long life, but are they actually immortal? If so, then they cannot have children - mortality drives reproductive capacity, that's how it is. But seeing the mechanism of noble houses... Byakuya had a grandfather, so clearly we see generations and thus the ability to bear children. So maybe the ammount of births is controlled? Like in China? And if it isn't, but shinigami are still immortal, to balance the births and deaths, shinigami would have to die by the same number as children are born. And it may be it, seeing as they die a lot and because they are soldiers, they don't really think of having kids - but the hectic time Soul Society has right now is due to Aizen, which only lasts for two hundred years. What about earlier, then?
That's not a problem if they are indded mortal - they age, after all, and somehow, it doesn't sound fun to remain an old man/woman for eternity.

Coming Full Circle - Theory Discussion

  • Dec. 11th, 2009 at 2:03 PM
I once heard that it is a fairly common practice in Japanese story telling to encapsulate the essence of a story or series in its first chapter. Thus the first chapter becomes something of a road map for the rest of the series.

Discussion continues under the cut )

Poems request

  • Dec. 11th, 2009 at 12:45 PM
I've been looking for Kubo Tite's Bleach poems in English. I know some people have translated them and have found up to the one for volume 37 so far. I'm still missing volumes 38-41 (already got 42, too).

Can anyone please lead me to them?

Thanks in advance!

Kubo Tite is an EVIL GENIUS!!!

  • Dec. 11th, 2009 at 4:41 PM
[HOPE THIS IS ALLOWED]

Kubo-sensei is the cruelest person in the world!!!
why end just like that just when Shinji is about to release his sword! (chap 385) omg. that's truly evil, sensei! :((
and, of course, many more sudden cut-out like that before _ _"

not to mention all the evil things he's done that i remember so far:

- let Ulqui die the most tearful/painful death (maybe he didn't feel any pain but I did T_T)
- let Kaien-dono die such a death unintentionally by Rukia's hands
- let Kaien-dono's body slayed AGAIN by Rukia's hands
(can't just leave him alone after dying ONCE! T_T poor Kaien!)
(I really couldn't help but cry watching that episode T_T)

- let Ashido living a miserable life in Hueco Mundo
(if memory serves, Ashido doesn't appear in the storyline manga, he only appeared in the anime.
And i gotta say i fell for him right the moment he rescue Rukia from the Hollow in Hueco Mundo.
and for god's sake, i can't stand his handsomeness after he take off his mask XD
poor handsome/cool/nice/awesome/gorgeous Ashido, he gotta live forever underground in Hueo Mundo TT__TT
poor Ashido, Rukia sword she WILL come back for him but she never did Y_Y at least that's what i remember)

(- and more more evilness if I remember T_T)

For all the evil things he's done so far, and for stealing fans' hearts that's what make Kubo an evil genius!

Anyway,
that's why I WORSHIP HIM for creating such a brilliant/awesome/perfect/bestest manga ever!
Manga spoilers!

Its a sneak peek of the upcoming EPIC fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra from the PSP2 Game Bleach: Soul Carnival 2. This is NOT the official anime. Would be due for release next year 2010.

But it looks gooooooooooooooooooood.

oh yeah, IchiThing looks pretty awesome too. XD

Orihime

  • Dec. 8th, 2009 at 9:44 PM
Hello. I hope this is all right since I'm not a member and I don't have a fanfic to share.

But I have been thinking, and I don't have any friends who would be interested in bleach so I can't ask this from them, that could Orihime be from the Royal Realm?

I mean, there wasn't much about her parents in the manga. She has the word princess in her name, her brother's name meant sky and she fits well in the tanabata myth, right?. Hmhm, I'm sure that myth part was discussed somewhere in here but it was in regards of romance if I remember correctly...

And then she has those god-like powers, if Aizen words were true. Also Ichigo is half-shinigami and half-whatever crazy things Kubo pulls next, Ishida is a quincy so not a normal human and I wonder if there is more to quincys, Chad is (I guess) half-hollow because all that coming home feeling in Hueco Mundo in the manga and his arms looking hollow-like.

So I guess I was just wondering could it be possible that Orihime is from the Royal Realm? Or am I crazy? xD

If this has been already discussed (which it probably has) then please go ahead and delete this post. You see, I only use Bleachness when I want to know more about Bleach so I wouldn't know about other sites. ^^

And there wasn't any spoilers, right?? ^^;
