Bleach finally broke me and made me start character-tagging my del.icio.us recs. usually I'm fanning for one, maximum two characters per fandom, but Bleach has just too many awesome, writeable characters around.
so, to make re-tagging 309 links by hand seem like less useless work, here some hisagi shuuhei recs for you.

I loved him surprisingly much for a background character with too little screen-time - one flashback and one actual battle, not much to work around, and yet there's something completely awesome in him (aside from tatoos and really badass look, of course): obvious professionalism, and strong sense of responsibility, and ability to admit his weaknesses, and readiness to protect and carry on. as usual, there’s more of fanon than canon to work with – but what we have already is awesome.

Summary: One thing Tousen had taught him after many years of being his captain was that justice should always, always be preserved, and while Hisagi admits that he’s still a little shaky on what justice is, he knows that at the time of Kaname’s betrayal, nothing felt more right than restraining his escape, and to this day, he thinks that’s what justice really is supposed to feel like. awesome in a way all good 20_souls fics are: quetly fleshing a character and covertly winning you over with this or that little detail. my favourite is probably this: In spite of everything that involves Yumichika, Shuuhei is willing to take his secrets to the grave. Shuuhei is nothing if not reliable.

Summary: Tousen didn’t involve him in all the betrayal because he cared. It’s because the former captain knew he wasn’t even worth the trouble. But the silver lining was exactly the way Shuuhei wanted: of all his treacherous actions, Tousen had thoughtfully left him out. hisagi dealing with aftermaths, accepting and working out quietly.

It was hanging over the edge of the table like a waterfall, and the first thing he thought, before Kira’s groaning jolted him back to the depressing reality, was that he didn’t think he’d seen anything so pretty in years. one of the rare het fics I've actually liked: unhurried, peaceful, not overdone and sweet.

He just loved his Captain, and he would have died for his Captain, and perhaps, perhaps if his Captain could explain it, then there would be an answer to everything that has happened. hisagi in the dark, being watched; strange and twisted one from incandescens, who never fails to deliver.

You've stumbled across a little community in the very far corner of Livejournal and the Internet. Bleach related, of course, and fanfiction related.

So, ladies & gents, bring out those bookmarks and memoried entries because here, at bleach_recs, we are asking for Bleach fanfiction that is highly recommended by you, the reader. If you've stumbled across a piece of literature that you feel deserves to be acknowledged then, by all means ... here's the place to put it!

What we're looking for where the Bleach fandom is concerned comes in many shapes and sizes, has many forms of rating and genre. From Rated G fanfiction to Rated NC-17, you recommend it, go ahead and add it! From Angst to supernatural to thriller to sappy, fluffy romance, you recommend it, add it! Songfics, one-shots, multi-chaptered, parody; we'll take it all in and distribute it around to all interested.

PLEASE make sure the entries aren't full of spelling errors and other errors where proper grammar pertains. I'm sure the readers don't want to be distracted from the story itself by a bunch of badly spelt words.

There is no limit to the pairing, no limit to the genre or rating, no limit to how many entries you post a day. We welcome everything from crack-pairing to canon.

Did I mention that we even welcome drabbles?

We only have one condition: No outside links. Only Livejournal links.
