| About: | The Purpose: To reread the superb shounen manga Bleach with an overanalytic eye. The Setup: One or more old chapters per week, along with discussion entries for each new chapter. Each week will begin with an overview post, and members may comment on that or write their own essays. New chapter discussion will generally be confined to one entry with comments. Bleach is LONG, so smaller chunks of "arc" may be in discussion rather than just one chapter at a time. Currently, the schedule is: Monday/Tuesday - Old chapters Friday - Current chapters Though since we're behind right now, chapters could happen at ANYTIME. It's very exciting. :) Discussions will remain open even when new discussions are started. The Rules: 1. This community is to reread Bleach. Therefore, there will be spoilers all over the place. Part of this community's goal is to make the big connections that may have been missed the first time through, and a knowledge of the entire manga run is required for that. Do not complain when things are uncut; we assume if you are here, you have read it all. 2. Given that, please catch up before commenting or posting. 3. Do not ask us where to get the manga. Bleach Portal is a much better place for that. 4. Also, and this shouldn't have to be stated: don't be a dumbass. This is a discussion community, so we know people are going to disagree about things. However, you can disagree politely, without making it personal. Always remember: the mod is a cranky-ass bitch. 5. Technically, there is no pairings bias here. We aim for neutrality more than anything, though. 6. More rules may be added as the community expands. 7. Now that the mod is done being a hard-ass...feel free to squee! and show excessive love to characters or pairings. We may be excessively brainy fans here, but we are also FANS.
