Welcome to bleach_icontest. This is a contest community for the manga and anime B L E A C H.

There are several kinds of challenges this community will be doing -- theme, image, and lyric.

I M A G E :
An image -- screencap, black and white or colored manga scan, official artwork -- will be provided for you. Color, brush, crop, and animate the icon however you want, but the only image used should be the one I've provided.

L Y R I C:
The lyrics to a song will be posted. Use at least three consecutive words but make sure the lyrics are the only text on the icon.

T H E M E:
A theme will be provided, either something broad like color or a single word like fighter, and you will need to construct an icon that best represents that theme.

W H A T I S B L E A C H A B O U T?
Kurosaki Ichigo has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Kuchiki Rukia, a shinigami and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family, but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged shinigami himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits, and along with Rukia, who is slowly regaining her powers, it's Ichigo's job to both protect the innocent from Hollows and to help the spirits themselves find peace. summary courtesy of viz

o1. Only two submissions per challenge unless otherwise stated.
o2. Your submission(s) must remain anonymous. You cannot use the icon(s) or post it anywhere, even in your journal, until the results are out and winners are announced.
o3. You must be a member of this community to participate -- either as a contestant or voter.
o4. Fanart and Doujinshi images are not permitted. There's the potential for drama, and I would like to avoid that. I'd rather be safe than sorry, so know where your images come from.
o5. You A R E allowed to submit an icon that you've also submitted to another icontest as long as the the voting and reveal of the winners coincides with our own. The icon M U S T remain anonymous.
o6. If you would like to use any of the icons posted for the contest, please get the creator's permission first, and follow any rules they may have for crediting.
o7. Tutorials are a great tool for inspiration -- not as a step by step guide. The icon you enter must be of your own creation. If it is discovered that a tutorial or someone else's icon were copied to make your submission(s), you will be disqualified.

o1. Your submission(s) must fit LJ's size standards: 100x100 or smaller, 40kb or smaller.
o2. At the beginning of each contest, there will be a post where you can reply with your entry. It will be the post with the new challenge. Comments will be screened so the only people who can see your submission(s) are you and me.
o3. You will need a host, such as photobucket or villagephotos (both are free), that allows remote linking.
o4. When sending your submission(s), please include both the img src and the url:

Sunday or Monday afternoon: Next challenge posted

o1. Voting will take place from Saturday, 10:00 am central till Sunday, 8:00 pm Central.
o2. Only members may participate in voting -- whether you made an icon or not.
o3. D O N O T vote for yourself or get your friends to vote for you.

There will be first, second, and third place winners as well as a moderator's choice.
