NANA Day SF!
now this isnt a sure-fire thing being VERY last minute and all, but if i were to host a Nana day for san francisco, probably in japan town, I was wondering what the turn out would be.
so if you think you would be able to attend, please contact me via jinra321 [at] yahoo.com subject header: Nanaday SF attendee.

Also we are looking for bands to play and will also be inviting bands to play with us. if you are interested contact me with the header: Nanaday SF band. Note that this event is not going to happen for sure so please dont go around telling everyone that there will be a Nanaday in SF. just spread the word for people to email me regarding attendence so i see if i'll be able to host one.

Have you posted this on the fanime forums? This would get your a lot of people to go and damn it is on a saturday too! I hope it happens because that would be awesome. Actually I am surprise Viz hasn't done anything official since they finally announce they have the rights to the anime.

well, my boyfriend just posted this using my account... so i'ma reply for him. lol

we're really not sure if anything will happen yet because we don't really have any funding. :x we just want to see if anyone would like to go yet. thanks for the tip though. maybe we can try contacting viz! :) and i'll tell him to post on Fanime forums too. thanks again! :D

I think you guys should definitely contact Viz and let them know about how Nana Day has become an international event... maybe they can help you guys out!

Anyway, I'm expecting some relatives that week in July, but if I'm free I'd love to attend!

Oh, it's you Lain! I didn't realize. :D I'll definitely let Zig know about it if it happens.

BTW, although it's still worth a shot, I dunno how receptive Tokyopop would be in helping this event since they own no rights to Nana and they'd be essentially helping promote a title owned by a rival company. It's worth a shot, though!

.... for some reason, i thought Tokyopop translated Nana. x__x *i wouldn't know because i read scanlations :)* whoops! lol

I didn't see your post on the fanime forums :( But yeah since Viz is on Bay street in SF they would probally be interested in it since it is free promotion and stuff. haha

If it happens I will be there coming from Sacramento!

X) I would definitely attend this, Lain~ I wanted to go to the one in SoCal, but since it's like days after AX [and I wouldn't be able to just stay down there], I can't make it for that one.

But if there is one in SF, I will definitely be there in my Ren X)

i wanted to go to the one in socal too, but mommy won't let me. >__> so i went to pete and was like, "let's have our own little gathering in sf. :)" and he made this post. :x

we'll try to make this happen. we're gonna contact viz, like cheryl suggested, and we're gonna contact tokyopop too. if you got any connections, we'll chat. ;)
