Screaming Banshee Aircrew album launch! Screaming Banshee Aircrew - exclusive launch show for their new album "Sugar". Friday 3rd July 2009 The Subculture, Wade Lane, Leeds. Doors 7:30pm, first band onstage 8pm, clubnight from 10pm £4adv which includes entry to Friday Flock* which follows! Screaming Banshee Aircrew first played for us at the Subculture (or "Bassment" as it was then) six years ago, since then they've released three albums, various video and ep releases, and generally gone on to take the UK goth scene by storm. Originally from Yorkshire (where else?!), these legends now stand on the verge of world domination with the release of their fourth album... and we're incredibly chuffed that they've chosen Leeds to host the offical launch party! Probably the most flamboyant live band in country, this is your opportunity to get "Sugar" before anyone else! Support comes from Luxury Stranger, who draw on the darkness of post-punk, the theatre of 70s glam (Bowie/Eno/Reed/Pop) and the commerciality of 80s new wave, evoking both The Chameleons and The Cure along the way. ThisOneIsOnUs - Another Version of the Truth (In HD @ YouTube) On 5th May, 2008, Nine Inch Nails released their latest album, The Slip, free online, as a gift to their fans. Or as Trent put it: "This one's on me". On December 13th, 2008, dozens of Nine Inch Nails fans recorded the last show in the Lights In The Sky tour at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas. By working together, we aim to create a DVD to document this show that will be released free online, and possibly as a not-for-profit physical release. This one, is on us. Our time. Our effort. Our present to all NIN fans. If you want to get involved in this project, please visit ThisOneIsOnUs.org. We are currently in the networking phase, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Even just copying and pasting the image below into your LJ, MySpace, Facebook, or blog would make a huge impact. Be a part of something big. This One Is On Us. | | Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 | 11:02 am [viciouscabaret]

Flock this Friday! It's our Christmas/New Year Party! It's not on New Year's Eve. It's this Friday 2nd January 2009! It's Fancy Dress! It's Bad Geisha Friday Flock!Yes, we've scoured the internet (well... we did a very quick search on google) and couldn't find any New Years Eve parties in the area playing a mix of Goth, Industrial, 80s, New Wave, Punk and Phono-style dark alternative, so we thought we'd have our own! Two days late! After failing to come up with a suitable theme, we've decided to make it "anything goes", with free entry for everyone in Fancy Dress before 10pm! Although there isn't a theme as such, we will be offering prizes for the best Bad Geishas! 9pm - 2ish £3 before 10pm The Subculture, Wade Lane. Flock this Friday! Yes it's this Friday (5th December)! Starting with the pre-club gig: Modulate + ESA ( more details) *The Subculture, Wade Lane, Leeds. Doors open 7:30pm, first band onstage 8pm. ...and then from 10pm - 3am it's... Friday Flock! ...the irreverent Phono night! This is the fourth Flock of the new run and our first three were amazingly busy! Featuring the same request-friendly DJing you know from both 'Oblivion' at Le Phonographique and the legendary long-running 'Sunday Club' (aka Black Sheep), expect all your favourite goth, industrial, 80s, punk and new wave tunes, not to mention plenty of that bizarre stuff you only ever heard down the Phono! Flock website: http://www.fridayflock.netFacebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=38427040880December Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=34696851329* I think it's extremely unlikely that the venue will reach capacity so I really don't want to worry people unnecessarily... however if you are travelling from afar and want peace of mind then you can email your name(s) to modulategig@sheepish.net (with a subject line of "Modulate Gig: reserved places") and we will guarantee that you will get in. The only proviso is that these "reserved" places will only be kept until 8.30pm. Friday Flock itself will have a much larger capacity than the gig so you're completely safe if you're only coming to that! | | Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 | 11:28 am [viciouscabaret]
