Insidious Dark Brew, A Drabble
Author: compassrose7577
Word Count: 100 (exactly!! The gods were with me!)
Rating: G (for generally benign)
Pairing: Jack/Beckett (get your minds out of the gutter!! It’s rated “G”!)
Disclaimer: I own or claim nothing. I would, if I could, but I can’t so I don’t.

Summary: It’s been ages since I was able to conjure a drabble. Not sure why; nothing against them, personally. Nor, can I explain where this one came from, but here it is!

The prompt was: Tea

Jack peered down his nose at the evil, brown, insidious liquid, with its dubious odor.

He had heard witchy tales of poisons and potions being snuck into such concoctions, a Trojan horse, catching a soul unbeknownst and unawares.

“Please, try it.”

He narrowed one eye, scrutinizing the perfidious rotter, smiling at him, as if he thought Jack too dim to realize the trickery afoot.

Never let it be said that Captain Jack Sparrow had been bested!

Gagging and shuttering, he nearly spewed it in Beckett’s face.

T’would serve him right!

No viler stuff on the face of this Earth.

Tea!

Okay, WHAT was he doing drinking tea with Beckett? Or shouldn't I ask?

Oh, poor Jack! Can't imagine anything could taste good what wasn't rum! Love the 'dubious color', 'witchy tales', 'trickery afoot' and the Trojan horse! LOL! Jack!

You've really captured his voice in this! Great drabble!

Don't be looking Trojan horses in the mouth! Jack probably doesn't even know how he wound up in this mess!!

At the risk of sounding egomaniacal, it's easy to capture a voice when you've been hearing it every day for years.

Thanks, lass!

Ha, I was wondering what on earth he could be drinking. Tea was the farthest thing from my mind! Nice drabble; too funny! Oh Jack, what will we do with you?

Poor Jack ^^ But he could've expected that something served by Beckett couldn't be good ^^

Lovely drabble!
