Last Call! I posted this last week, but it bears repeating -- assignments will go out on Wednesday.

Every year at Black Pearl Sails, the Yahoo Group, we've had a Secret Santa Fic / Fanart Exchange, and this year I'd like to open it up to our members on Live Journal, too. It's a little more laid back than some of the exchanges. Just comment here with what you'd like to write/draw and what you'd like to receive, and I'll match them up. Fics can be any length, and the deadline will be between December 20-25 -- you'll be responsible for posting your own work.

If you'd like to join in the fun, comment to this post, where all comments are screened. Or email me at geekmama at gmail dot com if you have further questions or comments.

Author: immortal_jedi, aka jedipati

Rating: PG-13

Characters/Pairings: Davy/Calypso, Will/Elizabeth, Cast of… nearly everyone who appears in the movies

Warnings: They’re pirates! Also, this is very, very AU, and the premise is a little tiny bit cracky.

Spoilers: Well, it’s heavily AU, but it also assumes that you’ve seen all three movies

Disclaimer: I don’t own POTC. I don’t own the characters. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who could come up with a plot twist like this, though.

Summary: Davy Jones didn’t like it when Calypso was bound, and swears that he will free her. He didn’t expect it to take as long as it was, nor did he expect to have to ask his grandson and great-grandson- both of whom are named William Turner- for help.

With apologies for last week, we're back on track now. This week's theme is

CHARMING

The definition of a drabble is a 100 word story. Well, mostly they are. In this community, we like to think of the 100 words limit not as a rule but as a guideline (since we all know what pirates think about rules as opposed to guidelines...) Going a few words over or a few words under the word count isn't a marooning offence. In fact, we've been known to encourage going over or under by as many words as it takes to satisfy your muse, as well as be in awe of those people who can hit the 100 word mark exactly.

The drabble challenge runs Wednesday to Wednesday, but see the above rules if you get inspired by one of the previous topics, listed at our very own captain's Black Pearl Tales, where responses are also collected. If you do not want your story posted there, please make a note when posting here.
