Hello! I'm new! [22 Aug 2007|04:32pm]

[ mood | naughty ]

I went to see Type O in June I think it was, in Manchester.
It was my first Type O Negative concert and OMG I love them more than ever.
My boyfriend's sister waited behind afterwards and got a hug from Mr Steele <3
I'm so jealous.

I went with my boyfriend, his mum and his 3 sisters and brother. Yes his mum LOVES type o.
I have some pictures in this album on myspace in the Type O Negative album. They were done on my mobile so they're not amazing.
www.myspace.com/chemicalprincess

They played the birdy song TOO many times when the roadies were setting up. Then it stopped and went dark so everyone started cheering then it started again.
Finally they walked on to Kazakstan's national anthem from Borat which I found hilarious.
I can't remember exactly what they played but they finished with Black No 1 which was so amazing I almost creamed my pants.

My brother's friend who went to the Manchester gig was going to Graspop in Belgium on the Saturday and saw them again and said that they were better in Manchester but were still amazing.
I can't wait to see them again.

Also I don't know if I can ask this but does anybody know where I can get any Type O Negative LJ icons?

I want to take a moment and say thanks to everyone for joining, and being a part of this community! Little did I know when I made this community, that it would grow to the size that it has, with members who share the same love of Type O Negative. Thanks to you all!

I am sure you guys will be pleased to know because of our participation, the brooklyn boys have taken notice, and have listed us on their official website. If you get a moment, please go peek!

Also be sure to check out the tour page, because they have added dates for this year's Fall/Halloween tour.

Stay Negative!

Live Negativity in Atlanta, GA [12 May 2007|11:50am]

Type O Negative @ The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA 5/4/07

The place was packed. People were standing all the way back to the Merch table. The concert started pretty quickly with Blue Of Noon--a local band that I did not care too much for. They played 3 songs. One of their song actually used a horn???? Go figure. I though this was metal. They couldn't leave the stage soon enough.

Next up, farily quickly, was Brand New Sin. Their front man was entergetic and got the crowd somewhat pumped up. I had heard them before (because of TON). I though they would be ok but not that great. They are better live. I was hoping that Peter would make an appearance but he did not. Their set was about 30 minutes long.

Celtic Frost did not appear on stage as quickly. There was some dramatic music playing while we waited, then the band appeared. The crowd went wild! The bass player spoke in what seemed to not be english. I wasn't sure if I was going to like them at that point. I was somewhat surprised. I could not hear the vocals well but the riffs were great at first... It quickly turned into what seemed like one long, long song. It grew tiresome. There were some highlights though. Kenny and Johnny appeared on stage 2 or 3 times. I think that the mix had some to do with the fact that I could not get into the music. Their set was longer, it lasted about an hour.

To my surprise there was no intro music before TON took the stage. The wait was not long either--about 15 minutes. They were playing with us by lighting the boo and suck signs.  The Boys from Brooklyn took the stage and began playing Magical Mystery Tour right away. The sound and lights were awesome. After the song Peter talked for a minute and then played We Hate Everyone. Peter seemed to have some tech issues with his amp--nothing that I noticed though. Peter gave his normal banter. He apologized for the "War of Northern Aggression" that took place around these parts from 1861 to 1865. He's from the South too, South Brooklyn! Peter had to take a rest a few times. He seemed to be in a little pain. None the less they gave an excellent show! At the end of the show Peter thanked the audience and they left.

I managed to get backstage for a little bit. Meeting Peter was surreal. I still don't believe it happened. The pain that plagued Peter during the show was not evident in the slightest, But maybe that was all the Crown he was drinking. He was talking in what seemed to be Russian and making funny nosies. He pulled the stuffing from a hole in the couch he was sitting on and was playing with it. He tried to put it in his ears and up my nose. I got Peter's wine bottle and he auto'd it for me.

I looked for Josh but he was MIA. I met him before the show. He is a sweet heart.

I saw Kenny in the hall. He was feeling NO pain at all. LOL I got his auto but no pic :( He quickly became engrossed in conversation with a guy so I did not bother him further.

In the room across the hall I could hear KISS playing. Johnny was singing to Got To Choose. It was fun to watch. We talked for a few and I got a pic w/ him but I had to go. Security wanted to know if I had a pass. Where were they when I walked up the stairs and right in??? They were nice though.

The drive home was very long (3 hours) but it seemed to pass quickly (I was thinking of the concert). I can't wait til they come around again!!!

Stay Negative!

I got lucky and got pulled into the venue at about 3pm so I spent all day with the bands and roadies. Johnny and Kenny spent a lot of the day on their computers and eating sandwiches and just being social. I saw Peter walk out on occasion. They had told me that it was surprising he was awake that early before the show not counting to be walking around. They said they had really bad days and really good days due to Peter's drinking/condition. At one time Johnny sent the roadie I was with at the time a voice text with a picture of a naked girl and it said "I'm watching porn!! ... I'm watching porn!!" Hahaha.

Then Peter came out on stage and they warmed up to Christian Woman.

Then Type O Negative. I was kind of disappointed. I think maybe they should have waited longer to tour because I do not think Peter was so up to it. They did play a few of my favorites. Black No1, Christian Woman, and Love You To Death. I got kicked in the head during the show. It hurt and bled, though I did not notice until after the show. Peter was drinking on stage, but he was not drunk. He kept sitting down but it is because of his condition. Ha also left twice to go get oxygen treatment. He said he has been doing it at all the shows in case people were wondering where he went.

You would see random girls dressed like strippers come and go every five minutes, but none of them got Peter's weiner hahaha. Supposedly none of them ever do anymore. Celtic Frost was a lot more friendlier than Type O.

I picked out all the Type O stuff. It might make more sense if you read it all. )

Is anyone going to the Atlanta show Friday, May 4th? I am going alone and looking for some entertainment for the day while I sit outside all day ;) I am not fond of being in that part of Atlanta alone because I am a small white girl. Haha.

05-07 NYC Show -- tix for sale [02 May 2007|10:38am]

jeniferrobin
I have TWO tickets for Monday's sold out Type O show at Irving Plaza in NYC for sale on eBay. I want to go, as I saw them in Philly and enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, however, I have a disability and Irving Plaza refused to accommodate me, and without some assurances/plans, it's too dangerous for me to go to a SRO show. So, I'm selling the tickets. I paid $70 for the two and just want to recoup my investment.

Bid away!

Thank you!

Does anyone actually have the Playgirl featuring Peter?

And in regardance to VH1's Surreal Life

Season 7 Notes

When Phil Hellmuth (1989 World Series of Poker Champion) did an interview on Sirius Satellite Radio recently, he said that himself, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Playboy Playmate Tina Marie Jordan, and rock musician Peter Steele are confirmed cast members. This has been verified by Savage himself in a press release, though VH1 has not released the official cast list yet.

In May 2006, professional poker player Phil Hellmuth announced that he would appear on an upcoming season of VH1's The Surreal Life, alongside Steele and others. Peter soon stated he would not be on the series.

I kind of wanted him to be in it. Haha.

May 4th yay! I hope I do not get beat up haha.
