Kadeem Hardison/Dwayne Wayne -- "Made of Honor" movie
Close in age and both having acted pretty much all their lives, in another universe, Kadeem Hardison is equally as famous as Patrick Dempsey, with just as many opportunities to anchor a series and/or movie and portray a romantic leading man or hero. Hardison has serious acting chops, but has had precious few chances to show these off. That said, it's good to see him in a big mainstream romantic comedy that Hollywood is flogging endlessly, even in something that's little more than McDreamy's Best Friend's Wedding, a star vehicle for Dempsey (and nothing wrong with that in theory, as Dempsey's come a long, long way, too) that just blatantly steals from the 1997 Julia Roberts film, "My Best Friend's Wedding." Around the edges it looks like Hardison's doing "the Black best friend" in the film, but I'm hoping he gets to come across as more than that. This scene from the "Made of Honor" movie is all Dempsey and Hardison:
