I grew up in a house with white walls, white ceilings, white carpets, & white furniture. I never had any personal appreciation or pride in my home until I moved out on my own and now I find people's apartments/houses fascinating and a great reflection of their own personal style, taste, and fashion sense. My parents were very plain to be truthful so it seems to make some sense to me at least. If you have pictures of your place it would be great for you to share! Under the cut are a couple more pictures of my place.

	That beaded curtain is amazing. No pics of my room, it doesn't reflect me much. I'm still half unpacked from coming back from University. Plus my room has been completely changed around from the way I loved it just so my mom could rent it out. (Reply to this)

	can't see them here but i have dreamcatchers and feathers all around the place, too. touches of egyptian and native american things spread everywhere. colourful indian sarongs hiding belongings. original & morbid artworks my partner and i have in the bedroom (haven't taken a photo of in there yet). 	my parents wouldn't let me drill holes either! when I was little they let me use a push pin to hang up a calendar, but I kept changing my mind with where I wanted it to be and moving it around making little holes everywhere, so they took it away. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	this was shortly after we moved in and unpacked. it has since gotten more decorated, but also messier: my favorite part of the house is the back porch, which is three stories up because we're on a hill. and, of course, my bedroom. (full size) (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Feels like I've seen hundreds of 'my room/my apartment'-posts here, but I just can't seem to stop adoring them. I love seeing other people's places, and just as you say: it truly reflects one's personality. And I think I've posted my room many times before, but ah well.
