| About: | This is a process journal for my stuff. It'll be mostly a brain dump and record of finished pieces. :) I am currently working on Root Thing and Hunters art dolls, although I have a few miscellaneous projects thrown in here and there. :) Root Things – “We Daren’t Go A Hunting…” - by C. Jane Washburn I use a lot of natural materials, (bone, twigs, roots, leather, twine, seeds...) as well as sculpey, wire, acrylics and found objects. I am fascinated by faces and the things that you can see between the cracks in the sidewalk, inside a roaring bonfire and at the bottom of a pond. I'm always making up little creatures for the weird things I think I see in odd places. These creatures are the results of privacy hedge removal and my short attention span. I am currently working with a photographer on a series of photos featuring the Root Things in natural environments and written descriptions of each one.  all content (c) C. Jane Washburn | |
