There are a few simple, logical guidelines for this community to keep it from getting cluttered. We ask you to keep these in the back of your head:

  • Be nice. Don't attack people, post things people could take an offense to and if people are mean to you, take a breather and if need be report it to the community moderators. No one likes to be in flame wars.
  • This community was created to talk about björk & related projects. Members are encouraged to post news, artwork, links, and other björk-related type things. Try to stay on topic.
  • Do NOT advertise your personal projects, your new community or new journal layout*: that's what your personal journal is for.
  • Do NOT request any officially released material. There are plenty of file sharing communities not to mention file trading programs like Soulseek [link]. If you still want to trade Björk mp3's on LJ we suggest you start a community for it, because we're not willing to take legal responsibility for it. Also a lot of material, like b-sides, has been put out on official releases. At least consider buying them.
  • Introducing yourself can be done in this thread: [here]. Please don't make a new thread just to announce your arrival. After 500 people introducing themselves and saying they love Björk, it's getting rather annoying.
  • If someone posts a meme (like "What Björk song are you"), please reply within that thread, don't post new entries with your answer.
  • To save yourself embarrasment and the community annoyances: look through the history of the community, the community memories [HERE] or the Björk FAQ to see if your question has not been answered elsewhere yet. Google can sometimes do miracles too. If not, post away!
  • Don't fully agree with these guidelines? Discuss with the mods (politely) why you think they are unfair here: [link] Remember these guidelines are to make this community fun for everyone.
  • People who ensist on being mean or disturbing this community despite our warnings will (eventually) be banned.
  • Please do not disable comments - the entry will be deleted.
