COMMUNITY RULES
Welcome to Birthday Celebrities Icontest, a challenge community for icons dedicated to celebrities who are celebrating their birthdays during the two weeks of the running challenge.


Each challenge will follow a time frame of about two weeks. The challenges will consist of TEN different celebrities who are celebrating their birthdays within those two weeks, a mix of male and female. These celebrities include, but are not limited to, actresses/actors, singers, musicians, models, directors, or just about anyone who has ever been in the spotlight for one reason or another.

ENTERING RULES
1. You must be a member to enter an icon.

2. You can only use the pictures provided in the challenge post unless otherwise stated. Add (for example) text, brushes, effects and so on to create your unique icons, but don't use additional pictures of the celeb which weren't provided here.

3. Because challenges will last for two weeks, you can enter up to ten icons for each challenge.
4. Your icons need to fit LJ's size standards (100x100px, 40kb, or smaller).

5. Your entries must remain anonymous. This means you can not use your icons or post it anywhere (your homepage, your LJ, etc.) until the voting period has ended.

6. To enter your icon(s), put it/them (&/or the link) in a comment to the challenge post (all comments will be screened so the only people who can see your icon submission are you and me).

VOTING RULES
1. You don't have to be a member of the community to vote. But remember that anonymous votes won't be counted, so make sure to leave a signed comment.

2. Don't vote for your own icon, and don't tell your friends to vote for it, either. Let's keep this a fair contest.

3. When voting, please read the voting post's rules. Typically you will be voting for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places along with a special category vote. I will modify the voting rules to match the entries.

4. You can't win if you don't enter. And the more entries, the more winners.


SCHEDULE
Challenges will begin on Mondays & end on the Sunday two weeks later. Voting will commence as soon as the challenge ends, and voting will last for approximately four days, and end around Thursday. Winners will be announced when voting ends, and banners will be posted as soon as possible. :] However, please know that the challenges will always begin on Mondays & will last for two weeks.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to first, second, and third place winners based on the number of votes that each person has. Different special categories that may show up depending on the number of entries include but are not limited to Best Coloring, Best Text, Best Cropping, Most Creative, Most Original, etc.
