Birls, yet again I have disappeared off the face of the planet in regards to posting on the community. A quick wrap-up of everything that's been going on... Well I moved back home from college the first week of May and started back to my summer camp job early June. I've been working 40+ hours a week, starting at 8:30 every morning and ending past 5 every evening. It's pretty awesome because I work with kids and it's outdoors so I'm never bored.
Gearing up to get ready to move back to college late August and I'm really excited to go back. I'm actually looking for some advice in the hair department. I usually get it cut in a fohawk once a month, with the sides and back buzzed with a 3 and 3/4. I haven't gotten it cut in nearly two months so it's pretty shaggy and super long in the back. I was wondering if you birls thought I should get it cut the same as I usually do/let it grow into a shaggy look/get it cut short into a new hair style. For reference, here's a pic of what I usually get it cut as

| room in brooklyn |
[Jul. 16th, 2009|10:26 am] |
hey everyone, i'm not sure if this is ok, so if not, you can delete.
but i'm the process of trying to move by july 31st and i found a great apartment that is off the 3 train at the kingston stop in brooklyn, ny. it's a 4 bedroom townhouse with a huge living & dining room. it is right across the street from the park and there is laundry in the building. the room available is a HUGE room for $850/month. (possibly $800). It could also be split by a couple since there is more than enough room!
i've been trying to find queer-ish people to live with and it is proving to be very difficult. i was wondering if there is anyone on here that is apartment hunting for brooklyn to move in for aug 1st?
me and the girl living there are awesome. picture below!
please let me know :-D
ps. here is the link to the craigslist ad i put up that says more about us:

Yesterday was Bellingham's pride. I went with my good friend Maryann and met up with Aubrey (The girl I am starting to like) and her friends. We all marched in the parade and we didnt know where to march in it, so we decided that we were the random homos. The Mayor of Bellingham even came up and spoke. Hes been to pride the last 3 years and supports us all the way. It was a lot of fun.

Of disapearing from birls...then realizing how much i miss you guys...then returning, reading all the posts i missed...and feeling sad. i'm back...and having a great summer thus far. It's been months i think.
I'm Rachel/23/Genderfluid leaning towards feminine currently/residing in toronto/member of birls since...forever...
My wife and i moved into the house we bought! We've biked tons, played with the kittends, attended the ontario wine awards, tried many deliscious craft brews, spent time with friends, and most recently visited my family/friends in CT.
We're madly in love...

My outfit for graduation consists of a blue and cream 3/4 sleeved shirt, a black pencil skirt with a white belt and flat, black pumps with bows on them.
I feel like a girl. It keeps mother quiet.
At least my hair is (very) short and purple.

Are there any disabled birls or queers out there? I have yet to actually befriend one and/or really talk to any. It's a little odd and I sometimes forget about that part of my identity until at random points where I am reminded, "Oh right. I CAN'T do that." Just curious. Also, does anybody else have parts of their identity that aren't generally on the forefront of their mind until something reminds them? And to put a face to the asker:

GF and I Jen. Chicago. 21. Yeah. |
