The Philadelphia Eagles have traded their first round pick for the second straight year. They traded the No. 19 pick to Carolina for a second and a fourth-round pick this year plus the Panthers' No. 1 pick in 2009.

Hmmm, not a big fan of this move.

I keep hearing aloooooooooot of rumors of Chad Johnson wearing green next year. I've been glued to sports radio (both Fox and ESPN Radio) and everytime Chad Johnson comes up, I hear the Eagles being the very first team mentioned. I wish I knew what Philly sports shows were saying (stupid boring Kentucky).

And with Andy Reid saying essentially there wasn't really anything really needed in draft (dunno why), Chance on Eagles trading their 1st or 2nd pick to Bengals?

Btw, anyone live near Cincinnati? I really wanna go to the Bengals/Eagles game this year. Friend of mine used to date a Ben-gal, but I'm looking for as many options as I can.

Free Agency and The Draft.

What are your thoughts on what the Eagles should do with free agency starting at the end of the month, and the draft just a couple of months away?

I'd like to see us let go of some of the dead weight in Kearse, Howard, McDougle, Reagor, et al. And I'd really like us to get aggressive in acquiring a playmaker on offense via free agency, trade, or draft. I think on defense, we need secondary help in cornerback depth and we need to draft a safety to get as Dawk's heir, and of course another defensive end. I'd also like to see us draft a left tackle with a high pick to groom behind Thomas and Runyan. Finally, I'd like to see us draft a difference maker in the return game. It's time to get with the program there. I'm sick of seeing the Eagles content with the norm at that position. Everything else is just gravy.

Personally, I'd like us to rescind the franchise tag placed on L.J. Smith and sign recently released Alge Crumpler to a deal. His receiving skills are equal, if not better, and he's a much better blocker, and I think he's less of a health risk. I'd like us to draft a wide receiver with our first pick (depending who's on the board at that time), or trade that pick for a legit #1 receiver. As I've seen the way the "draft experts" have cornerbacks rated, my beloved Antoine Cason of my Arizona Wildcats is rated around 10th at his position. If he's available when we're picking in the second round, I'd cream if we got him. He shut down DeSean Jackson and a lot of other solid receivers in his career. And did I mention, he can return kicks! He also won the Thorpe Award for best collegiate cornerback, so he's good.

Anyways, those are some of my wants/wishes for the offseason.

My brother works for Trader Joe's in Marlton, NJ and he text me yesterday saying "I just met Westbrook" I wrote back, "I hate you" He was in his store! My brother isn't even an Eagles fan (he likes Cincy, for what reason I haven't a clue, he's never lived there). I talked to him last night and I said "Did you tell him your sister wants to marry him?!" LOL. He didn't get an autograph or anything!!! Nothing!! I couldn't believe it. Even my mother said to him "This is your sister's favorite football guy, and you didn't say anything or get an autograph, that's awful"

Ugh, I'm still reeling. My brother doesn't even like the Eagles and he meets Brian Westbrook.

Soo not fair!!
