Female indigo bunting, maybe? Location is Vermont.

First critter looks like a female Brown-headed Cowbird. The second, a Savannah Sparrow.

I agree with both of those. It's a bit early for Indigo Buntings in Vermont -- migration in Texas was in full swing when I was there over the weekend -- and at any rate there would be some bluish feathers in the primaries or tail feathers. (At least, all of them I saw had some.)

I don't know the first bird, but the second bird made me think Savannah Sparrow. Funny thing is, I saw one of those for the first time yesterday, and looked it up. That's why I knew. :)
