I'm sad to say, I've lost all my guinea pigs. Gambit passed away last January, Cyrus on December 6, 2008, and Gus died this morning. I had many great years with all of them. Gambit I had 5 great years. Cyrus and Gus 4.

My heart is broken and my room is so quiet without them now.

Gambit was a friend of Bing's. And now he joins him in piggy heaven.

He died in my arms at 9:45pm tonight. I haven't stopped crying since.

So sorry I didnt post in here...thank you martinivixen for letting people know...

Some people mentioned to me that they would like me to name a charity that people can donate to in Bing's honor...

And its making me think right now, as I'm sitting here reading message boards from all over the world all talking about Bing's passing and how much he meant to everyone... I'd really like to come up with a way for us all to put our energy into something that will make a difference for guinea pigs, in his honor.

Any ideas? There are SO many guinea pig rescues all over the world... I would love to organize something to continue Bing's positive impact on everyone who loves piggies.

Sad news everyone. Bing and his brother Frank passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last night :'(

My Love and my piggie's love to Bonnie in this sad time.

We'll miss you Bing. There will never be another guinea pig like you.

The guinea pig is cute too!! HAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! No, seriously..... Jewels is the best little silly pig. This is daddy's baby... and he's already training his father not to move a muscle once he is comfortable with his little guinea pig chin rested and snuggled.

Sorry for the not so great quality, these are the only pictures I have of him and they're from my phone... anywayyyy, I'll try to get some pictures of all three of the boys together on Christmas! hehe!

I barely finished this in time...and I'm sorry it wasn't soon enough to get delivered by Christmas :( Or at least I don't think its possible? hmm. But anyway, in between packing I tossed this together!!!

I also decided this year to re-release the past two years calendars with 2007 covers... in case you missed one, or don't like this years :) hehe.

Bing does have a new brother!!! My loves and I adopted him from the Humane Society in Minneapolis :) He is ten months old, and a daddy's boy. I'll try to get a picture up sooonn.... But he's got a lot of orange coloring like bing, with some darker brown and white spots :) Smooth coat... shiny little eyes.

But he has a scary tendancy of liking to jump off things!!! :( So we have to be careful. He's scared us to death a few times.

His name is Jewels!!! :) Yey! :)

I'm just posting, because Bamboleo, Bing's mom, posted something about Bing having yet another new brother, and I for one want to know more! :D It's been too long since we've heard anything from the king of cute!

Frank did NOT want to wear the ears, as you can see.... but just getting them on him in the first place, was hysterical. SO, when I saw that they were falling off of him, that's when I had to scream. lol

And when I mention that Frank is a rescued pig, I mean no offense to rescued pigs lol, he's just still working out some issues and will probably always be a lot more jittery and insane than his brother lol

Someone at Hartz saw the video, and got in contact with Bing. LOOK AT WHAT THEY SENT HIM TODAY!!!!!

Last night I went to Tehillah (church), and I arrived home to the usual chorus of wheeks, which was ridiculous because I'd given the pigs their dinner before I left and it wasn't time for their veggies yet. I was hungry, so I puttered around in the kitchen making a snack, and Napoleon was so insistent on getting my attention that I decided it was time to give him more attention than he'd bargained for: I reached into his cage, chased him around a bit, and eventually caught him and took him over to the couch. He ran around on there for a bit, and sat with me - and tried to eat my fingers cuz they smelled like green beans. Then he peed on me. So I trimmed his nails a bit and put him back in his cage.

Next I caught Katonia and cleaned her up a bit. She wasn't impressed with the whole toenail trimming event, but she survived. Her little feets are really dried out, which isn't fun for her, I'm sure, and she's growing these weird skin tags out the sides of her front feet. They're kind of like calluses and are all dead skin, so I trimmed them off a bit, but it's weird. I remember I had another piggy, a few years back, who got tags like this. I still don't know why. I should see if I can find out, I belong to enough online guinea pig communities...

Finally, it was Princess' turn. She really didn't want to be caught, and then when I finally got hold of her, I nearly dropped her. It was from high enough that she would've got hurt anyhow, but she was also right over the grid that forms part of the side of her cage. She did, I think, hit her foot on the very top of the grid before I caught her, but I did catch her, and I immediately went into the bathroom and checked her over carefully to try to make sure she wasn't hurt.

Once I was satisfied that my baby was okay physically, we sat together on the couch for a long time while I took great care to calm her and comfort her. She did eventually calm enough to just sit with me and let me pet her without trying to hide under my arm. She even turned around and looked around at the room, stretching her neck out as she smelled the air.

Then she peed on me. It wasn't a little pee like Nappy did, either. It was big and warm and very wet. All down my side. Complete with poopies. Lots of poopies. So she went back in with Katty. And my clothes went into my laundry hamper.

I was visiting my parents in Delaware for the holidays and what did I come across, but this:
