Ruby's Next Sessions
This class offers an introduction to American Cabaret and Turkish Oriental bellydance. Focusing on isolation, basic steps, posture, finger cymbals and development of personal style Belly Beginnings caters to those who have never taken a bellydance class before. The next session begins at 7:30 pm on Monday March 3rd and continues until April 21st. Cost of the 8-week session is $80 in advance or $90 the day of. Drop-in classes are welcome if space allows for $14.
Belly Beginnings II
This class will get you moving! We will build on the fundamentals covered in Belly Beginnings level 1 by introducing layering of isolation, steps and finger cymbal patterns. We will focus on perfecting technique and develop combos to get you dancing. Belly Beginnings level 2 is dependant on technique developed in Belly Beginnings level 1 or equivalent dance experience (about 1 year of bellydance). The next session will begin at 7:30pm Wednesday March 5th and will continue until April 23rd. Cost of the 8 week session is $95 in advance or $105 the day of (includes cost of live music every other week). Drop-ins are welcome for $15 if space allows.
Bellydance Performance (Level IV)
In this class we will develop skills as solo performers as well as group choreography. We will also work on costuming ideas and construction, make-up, expression, stage presence and working out the kinks of stage fright! Performances may arise during the course of the session or may be scheduled in advance. Completion and confidence in bellydance levels 1-3 are required. Private Instruction
Private lessons are available throughout the week for fine tuning technique and learning new material. Lessons can be taken solo for $30/hr ($100 for 4) or duet for $40/hr. You can use this time to work on what ever YOU want. We can develop your own choreography or improvisational performance style or work on perfecting technique and isolation to take your dancing to the next level.
