What happened to bezilla.org and the tinderboxes?
Hi,

Today I thought I would check out the status of bezilla.org, and to my surprise this domain just redirects to this blog. Nothing wrong with that per se, but I really wonder why it was taken down and what happened to the site there and its content.

I was also wondering, what happened to the tinderboxes that were donated a long time ago to the project? Where they ever put to any good use? If they are not being used, maybe we can find a good use for Haiku. Who is in possession of the hardware?

I'm still in possession of BeZilla.org but as no-one was using the site so I figured it was best to redirect it here.
The Tinderboxes were running for a fair while but the networking stack on them just crashed too often to be useful.
I'm in the process of moving house at the moment but once I'm settled in I want to set up a Linux cross-compile environment for Haiku on a fairly decent machine and try and get it building again.

Hi Edward,

With regards to the bezilla.org site, I personally put quite a bit of my time on that site, so it would have been nice if you asked before taking it down, even if it were only out of courtesy... I suppose you made a backup of the content? Can we get a copy?

As for the tinderboxes, since it has been so long since the machines were donated w/o any tangible results, it seems it may be more productive to offer the hardware to the (Haiku?) community, and see if somebody can put them to good use sooner.

Can you share with us the specs of the machine(s)?
