This is a community for people who own, breed, and/or love bettas (sometimes known as Siamese fighting fish). The intent of this community is to educate people who wish to learn about the best way to care for their bettas; to share knowledge, personal experiences, pictures, and the love we have for these fish.

You must join the community to be able to post entries or comments.

A lot of our entries are sorted into categories, so that your questions can be answered without even having to be asked. Look through the tags to search through past entries. Tags are currently unavailable while we reorganize them. Please do not tag your own entries for the time being!

Rules and Regulations
1. Play nice.
2. If you do not play nice, or say something that could be deemed offensive and/or counterproductive to the intention of this community, you will be given a warning. If you have a problem with being warned, bring it up with us then, by asking and/or giving us your email address so we can talk about things sanely.
3. After three warnings, you will be banned for a repeated "not-playing-nice" offense. It's all very simple.
4. Play nice.
5. No meme posting. It will be deleted faster than you can say "triskaidekaphobia."
6. Anyone who posts websites, videos, pictures, or any material that shows betta abuse and you want people to be just as outraged as you are will be directed to save_our_bettas and their post will be deleted faster than you can say "paraskavedekatriaphobia". This is not the place to demand boycotts and protests and what-have-you, that place is.
7. In regards to rescuing versus boycotting, we don't play those games here. If you're a rescuer, don't antagonize the boycotters. If you're a boycotter, don't antagonize the rescuers. Simple as that.
8. If there is an off-topic post, ignore it. It will either be a) deleted or b) off your friends page in a day or two, since we average a high number of posts per day.
9. Play nice, for the love of all that is good and holy and chocolate.
10. Moderators retain the right to bypass any warnings and simply ban a member for conduct.
11. If you have a problem with any of this, either don't join the community, or leave.
