It is probably safe to say whatever magicks this place holds have gone entirely insane. In Ivalice we ran into a few places in the like but there was always some kind of way to sort out how to get through. I am starting to doubt that there is any kind of logical sense to which way the rooms have rearranged themselves and I am --
Oh, Gods. How many times am I to come back to this same room, I quite had my fill of it the first time around, thank you.
Anyway, where was I? Oh, right, finding things has become rather tricky, but nothing a pirate can't handle. Additionally, I'd take care of the mistletoe. It keeps popping up every once and awhile like it's forgotten the month. Or at least, I was under the impression from what the System Manager said that it was some strange December holiday tradition.
In any case I would advise caution.

But I think we have a larger problem and that is that I'm not entirely sure who is around and who isn't any longer. The system seems to be down, (other than normal communications) all the lists - perhaps it is because of the absence of the system manager? And now when it's entirely unclear where you will end up going from one door or another any number of people could be lost or trapped throughout here.
Suppose it fails to let us into somewhere important, like the kitchen.

Because more than a few of us miss this place, but the mods can't really justify reopening the game,
betrayedbyrpg is now a musebox/dressing room. Think of it as if Betrayed has never gone anywhere. This will be open to any of our former players, even if they left prior to the closing of the game. To add a little spice though, former players are welcome to bring in new characters.
It is not going to be a "proper" rp, nor is there going to be activity requirements or anything of the sort. If you want to play, just post to this community. I very much recommend [tracking the community] with your main LJ so that you know if anyone posts that you wish to play with.
Did you want a Katamari event and we never managed to have one? Do you want more of that mistletoe? Think another dream/nightmare event would be fun? Just want to mess around with your characters within the house again? Now you can. Write it up and post it! Just about anything goes, now that the magic of the house has officially gone crazy. Don't worry about layout, rooms are now shifting around as they please. Want to find the kitchen? Well, the greenhouse might be where it was yesterday... or five minutes ago. Don't worry, the rooming and the main and upstairs hallways will stay in place.
Logs and journal posts will all go in this community from now on to make it all streamlined. (Just be sure to label so we know) and tag with your character like so:

The Broom Closet
Ah-choo! Goodness, that's a lot of dust. You'd think with this man brooms they'd have kept this room a little cleaner.
Brooms. From wall to wall, this small closet is packed with brooms. New brooms, old brooms, broken brooms, dirty brooms. That one over there looks rather like a witch's broom. But if you manage to work your way through them, there's a door on the opposite wall. Careful, as the room isn't lit so the only light you have is from the door you entered through. The Broom Closet is the south-western door in the upstairs hallway. It was found by Mitsuki Konishi on January 2nd in the Day.
Konishi also set off an event.

The Kitchen - January 1st

The Kitchen
After slaving through terrible food for these past few days, the kitchen is more than a welcome sight. But once again, the kitchen is filthy, pots and pans lying around everywhere. Looks like all that hard work cleaning will have to happen again.
The has kitchen three doors, and no windows. It is full of kitchen utensils that are very dirty, but the refrigerator and the pantry are fully stocked. The island in the center is piled high with some of the pots and pans, so you'd best wash them before using. Now that you have found the kitchen, good food will appear at meal times in your rooms, and of course, should you be hungry, you may always come down to the kitchen for more. The kitchen is across from the Rooming Hall, and was found by Edward Elric on January 1st, during the day.
Nothing else happened.

The End of the Second Haunt

One soul. She had needed thirteen.
She kept taking his power, stealing from him the very essence of his life. He was her vessel, but she was more than content for this for she, too, had to stay alive.
She knew this night she would kill him, and with the full fury of a woman scorned, blocked from her goals she did.
The mirror floats before Kanda, and text appears on it, as if the glass was on the mirror, as if someone was on the otherside of the supposed glass.

For the briefest moment, the long black hair of a woman is seen retreating. The mirror glows for a second, a deep green color. The color fades away, and the mirror hangs in the air and looks like it's about to drop, lifeless, when all of a sudden it glows again, the green light now aiming in a beam towards Kanda, but half way between the mirror and Kanda the beam turns into tiny glass shards, thousands of glass shards, which come hurling at Kanda in a fury. One after another they pierce his skin, drawing blood like painful paper cuts.
And as it does this, it steals his life. His soul. It pulls his soul from his body, and into the mirror.
She'll never be alone again.
The base of the mirror floats towards the graveyard, taking paths to end up uninterrupted. It stops at the music room and a shard comes to it, that one shard showing part of Kanda's reflection now.
It heads towards the Graveyard, uprooting every shard that had been buried, seemingly lost to the ground. The shard Edward had found, too, comes for it's call. They pull together and add up like a puzzle, with a loud and definite sound, which alerts the people of the house. Certainly, there is enough time.
Kanda's reflection is shown in full in the mirror, the black haired woman comes up and draws on the glass, ".eciravA em llac nac uoY" She erases this and replaces it with, ".niaga enola eb reven lliw I"
The green light of the mirror fades, and the black haired woman scowls. But she realizes she is losing, and color drains from her face. She bangs her fist on the glass, And then flattens her palm against it, writing with her free hand, "em pleh."
Her reflection becomes blurry, fuzzy, and she vanishes, then Kanda, too, is gone from the mirror. In it's place, suddenly, a picture the Hall of Mirrors appears - and, what's this? A treasure box?
Hurry.
Time is wasting.
The door to the graveyard opens, and that well dressed man you have all come to hate strides in. He moves straight for the mirror, and touches it. The remaining green light burns his hand, there is a hissing sound as his hand first turns bright red and then black, the skin deforming. He pays no attention to this as he pulls a knife out of his pocket and stabs it right in the center. The mirror reshatters, the shards fall back into the ground. The frame he pockets and then pulls out a small flash light and turns it on, shining it towards the house guests.
"Well, hadn't you all be off?" And with that, he leaves quickly. Just before he opens the door he says, "Ah, right, the power. I hope we get it back on soon, it's been dreadful walking around without it."
And like the shards, as soon as he closes the door behind himself, he appears to vanish.
That's right, the haunted ended as of last night. The big mirror attack was at 10:00 PM, during the Early Night and it is now Late Night. Because of the Zombie event, exploring will continue as with the haunt, and the house will not reset until the end of the event. Should you want to find the treasure chest, you must get to the Hall of Mirrors and get a knowledge roll of 6 or higher.
Right now, every character's location is the graveyard. Excepting Vaan, and Kanda. Any character who had a zero for a stat (unless it was due to the zombie) will have that stat changed to a one, excepting Kanda, who will be dead for one full in game day, until December 29th, Early Night. At which point his zeros will change into ones and he will wake up, alive, in his room, his location will be the Rooming Area.

Lenalee was able to move 5 spaces:
Library (0) -> Balcony (1) -> Haunted Hallway (2) -> Observatory (3) -> Map Room (4)
Linaly was able to move 3 spaces:
Leaky Room (0) -> Rooming (1) -> Billiards (2) -> Child's Room (3)
Kanda was able to move 2 spaces:
Main Hallway (0) -> Upstairs Hallway (2) -> Haunted Hallway (3)
Edward was in this room so an attack was initiated. Edward's might was 3, Kanda's might was 2.
Kanda: 1 + 0 = 1
Edward: 2 + 1 + 1 = 4
4 > 1, but the mirror keeps Kanda from taking any damage.
