Ladies and jellyspoons, I bring news.

Best Thing Ever is ending.
Not right now, but soon. The decision was discussed and decided upon by all the moderators at the beginning of Year Five, and is for several reasons. One is that we each are moving forward with our lives and are excited to pursue other projects. Another is that after almost three hundred polls, we're kinda running out of Best Things. We desire to finish strongly. To end the adventure with people still wanting more, rather than slowly ebbing away into drawn-out mediocrity. A grand journey deserves better. We are eager to do this amazing community justice.
Not being above cheap fanservice, we would encourage interested parties to submit ideas to the Official Submissions Page, a hyperlink we the moderators will be using with great frequency this coming quarter. In addition, we'll be letting you know where - if so you are inclined - you may find news of our future projects.

I offer you my sincerest gratitude for being a part of this experience. Let us cross the finish line rejoicing.

After a long, pitched round, Warm, Delicious Stew on a Cold, Rainy Day beat out Mythbusters by a single vote. Who knows what would have happened were Blowing Stuff Up Under the Banner of Science to have run against Delicious Homemade Biscuits!
