Welcome to the Bentolunch Livejournal community! If you are new to the group, please take a few moments to look at this group's posting guidelines. Briefly:
  • All entries must present bento boxes that were prepared by or for the person posting.
  • Please keep one representative photo of your lunch outside the cut and any other pictures behind a cut.
  • Photos of closed or empty bento boxes, multiple pictures of the same lunch, and recipes must be behind a cut.
  • Entries are tagged by user name. If you want a tag, please E-mail me at negaduck9[at]aol[dot]com with your request, LJ username, and a link to one of your posts in this group.
    There are also tags for general use, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, recipes, and so on. A complete list is in the posting guidelines.

Bottom tier: arugala with fish shaped tuna salad

Top tier: blackberries & strawberry with pick, broccoli & carrot, green onion/parmasean tamagoyaki, asparagus, kiwi

Also includes bottle of homemade vinagrette dressing for salad.

My bento hiatuses (is that a word?) are getting longer. I put this one together even though I was short on time. I apologize for the photo quality, I was using a different camera.

Bento box includes: leftover homemade chicken tikka, cumin potatoes w/ peas & onions, and seaweed salad.

Small container: orange segments w/ pick & chocolate cremes.

Bottom tier: spicy tuna onigiri, curry croquette, and pork shumai

Pom-Pom Purin fruit bento: grapes, apples, and orange segments

Back to bento-ing after a little hiatus...

(left side) broccoli, hummus & chive stuffed tomatoes (caps on), quail egg with celery salt "hair", carrot stars, ham & swiss bear sandwiches, and edamame on pick

(right side) kiwi flowers, finger banana (I found at the Asian grocery - how cute is that?!), blueberries with pick, cream corn croquette, and Japanese pickles

I got to try out my new rice cooker - SO NICE waking up to already cooked rice! Second bento, so it includes a few things from yesterday.

Tier 1: onigiri, cream corn croquette, and broccoli
Tier 2: hummus stuffed tomatoes w/ chives (very yummy!), cucumber flowers & carrot stars, orange wedge, and blueberries
Snack: strawberries & mixed nuts
