Hi there,

Im a newbie in this community. I come from Spain and Benefit products have just arrived in my city! I cant believe I didnt get to know them before! I love them! Ive started my collection with 2 basics , Dr. Feel Good and YouRebelLite, as Im quite pale - and I had never used foundation, neither concealer cause I have quite a nice hydratated skin but now its wayyy better-. Ive been looking on the website, now Ive discovered this community and Im willing to learn more and more about the products and their possibility to help us, xD.

I have 2 questions to begin.

1.- Does anybody have any link to Dandelion info? I have just seen it mentioned here, as good for pale-skin girls, but we havent got it yet in Spain and I dont seem to be able to find it on the web page.

2.- Ive discovered a "must" in the BADGAL kit. But the Benefit Official webpage doesnt sell it, only Sephora does -and they dont do international shipping-. Ive just seen one through ebay but its rare enough to go for millions. Would anyone do some kind of "shopping service" for me? Id pay the item value+ shipping+ a bit for the trouble.

Boi-ing and You Rebel Lite

Hey ya'll! Im new here so I just wanted to say hello :)
and... I have a few questions about some products Im thinking about picking up!

1) Boi-ing~ I first tried it out in BeneFit's Big Beautiful Eyes kit and fell in love. BUT, after about a year I started to get dehydration lines. Question #1) Has anyone had a similar experience and if so did you find a way to make this concealer work for you? I came to the conclusion that Boi-ing is very moist when you first purchase it but it starts to dry up over time. So I stopped using it and my dehydration lines started to get better, but I was super bummed because I absolutely loved my Boi-ing. Since then Ive tried a lot of other concealers and I have yet to find something that even comes close to Boi-ing. Soo... I got BeneFit's fall catalogue in the mail and noticed that they've changed the packaging for Boi-ing. Question #2) Does the new packaging do anything to help keep the concealer from drying out? Id really love to try it again, but I dont really want to risk the dehydration lines again.

2) You Rebel Lite~ Im an NW30 in MAC. Does anyone have a picture of how this product looks on someone with a similar skintone? Im thinking about switching up my face routine and replacing my current foundation with this. But some MUA reviews talked about You Rebel being really orange and I definitely don't want to look like an oompa-loompa.

Hey!

Is there still anyone out there? ;) I just joined because I had to ask a VERY (yes yes) important question.

I would so very much like to try Benefit's "some kinda gorgeous". The homepage says this foundation (Is it one? My online shop says so...) fits every skin type and tone. However, I'm a very pale girl.

See? I glow in the dark, seriously.

Should I still give it a try? Anybody here who uses it? I'd be grateful for any kind of advice ♥

That Online Shop is my only option, btw. Benefit is only available in a handful of cities in my darling homecountry and I would have to drive for hours to take a look at it / try it. Sucks, I know...

hey, ok so i sent my cv to benefit cosmetics uk and just got a phone call from a lady and had a telephone interview with her, i passed that & have now been invited for a audition interview, in my local counter. im just wondering does anyone else work for benefit/has been through the audition interview and could maybe give me some tips, or just some info about how it goes about, she said they will teach us how to traffic stop potential customers and do some role play. cheers everyone, x

Hey, I'm pretty new to Benefit but now that I've got my student loan through I'm looking to splurge... I already have Some Kinda Gorgeous and it's great especially since I'm completely clueless about how to apply make-up, and I was wondering if any of you have tried 10? I'm really pale and would like something to jazz up my colour a bit. Thanks.

Hi,

I got Firmology today and its amazing! I was a bit miffed at first as the tube looks like a sample (so small!) but you only need a v small amount, it goes a long way and makes your skin feel so much more toned (especially neck / jawline area).

Well worth a try if you need a pick me up : )

Bad Gal Blue

Hiya,

Im a newbie on LJ so went straight to find the Benefit community! I am a total addict and have tons of the stuff, so should feel right at home after reading some of your posts!

Has anyone got the new Bad Gal Blue Mascara yet? I got it last week and it really made my eyes pop. I also picked up Hopelessly Devoted to Pink and have used the glosses and two of the shadows to death!

My must have Benefit prods are:

Boi-ing - A total life saver
Get Even - Powder that goes on like silk
Dandelion (Winter) and Georgia (Summer) - Cant go out without them!
High Beam - Nights out arent the same without it - always gets a comment
Eye Bright and Mr Frosty (Day) and Gilded (Night)

And classic Kitten powder of course!

What are your absolute Benefit essentials??

This is kinda random, but does anyone else wish that High Beam had the same scent as Hollywood Glo? I absolutely love that rosewater smell, High Beam smells crap in comparison!

Black Orchid eye & cheek highlighter

I'm thinking of buying Benefit Black Orchid eye and cheek highlighter in "it was the perfect alibi"..

I'm basically looking for something which will highlight my cheeks/browbone, which I can apply blusher over or under. Will applying powder blush over/under spoil the effect of the highlighter?

I currently use (and absolutely adore) YSL Touche Eclat highlighter.. Will the Benefit product to basically the same job?

I recently bought the Maybe Baby scent after months and months of deliberation and was so excited to use it. But when I brought it home, I found out that I'd spray it on and it's gone 2 hours into my day! It's driving me mad and I'm so close to returning it, because while I don't want to stink of perfume all day, what's the point of wearing it if it's disappears so soon?

I might be crazy but I remember when I tried it back in Fall 2005, it was a lot stronger, I tested it on my wrists at Sephora and went shopping for hours, and when I got home at night I could still smell it on me. Now, I walk out the door and as soon as I get to school, it's barely audible.

So question, did they change the formula or something for 2006 and how do you get the scent to stick to your skin for a decent amount of time if you do use this fragrance. Thanks.

I have been on the hunt for another job, and something very exciting happened today- Benefit rang me! They are giving me a trial next Thursday! Much excitement.
So ladies please, here is a little survey:

What are some of your favourite products and why?

Did you buy them at a store, if so how did they get you interested in the product? Did they stop you as you were going by or something else?

How did they close the sale?

If anyone has specifically used benetint, dr feelgood, HiBeam, or ooh la lift, tell me all!

i'm completely new to benefit. but i always here such great things about this brand! so, after browsing the website for a little while, i found a plethora of things that i think i would like. but again, i have no experience with this brand. so, tell me what i shouldnt even consider getting, what i should definitely get, or if you could recommend something similar.. any feedback at all would be great.

I bought Hollywood Glo because I loved how I looked when the makeup artist put it on me. Trouble is, now that I'm home, I'm not sure how to apply it.

Where? Just on my cheeks or also my browbone? Anywhere else?

Is it just a glorified highlighter? Would Moon Beams or High Beams have been a better purchase?

I was just wondering what do you guys think is better lyin' eyes or boi-ing for bags under the eyes? Is the lip plump good? And I'm a pretty pale blonde girl, any other suggestions for me to get? I just ordered Maybe Baby lotion from the website. I wasn't sure about it, because I've never tested it or smelled it. Has anyone tried the perfume or lotion?
