bead disk/ midalian/ what ever you wanna call it.
photo tutorial on how i made my disk...

warning!
im not a seamstress, i dontknow all the correct terms and i cant spell. enter at your own will and please dont be mean.
p.s...
lots of pictures...

1

i did mine on muslin and with two needles. One to string beads on and the other to use to secure the strand of beads.

2

i took one bead and put it on my bead needle and sewed it to the muslin, i kept on sewing threw the same bead until i was able to get the single bead to stand up on its side.

3

I started my next strand of beads with my bead needle, i poked up a tad be away from the first pink bead and threaded 3 blue beads.

4

i pushed all the beads down and try to curve them as close as i can around the pink bead, i use my finger to help keep them where i need while i poke my needle down next to the third bead.

5

i then from under the muslin, pull the bead thread to the first blue bead on the strand and pull it up threw the fabric. See picture.

6

I then pull the thread bead up and tight and re-thread the frist 3 blue beads

7

I should look like this, if it dose, pull tight on the thread and the beads should move back down to the fabric. DO NOT thread the needle back down in the fabric but keep it where it is.

8

Now its time for the second needle and thread. From under the muslin, pull teh needle up from between the frist two blue beads and then loop it over to the other side of the beads and pull tightly. Then if you want you can do this in between every bead or some like to do it every third. I do it between ever one, it takes more time but i think it makes it more secure. see 9 and 10 for examples for this.
9

10

11

Again i took another 3 blue beads and threaded them again in the same way as the frist set. trying to keep them close to the pink bead, so it cerves around it, making a circule.(see 12)
12

13

Now like before i had re-threaded the first 3 beads in step 6, i this time go back 4 beads to re-thread, this way all the beads become close and secure and making it mean like a never ending circule.

14

Again, take your second thread to stitch down every bead or very second or third or what not.

15

I again thread on my last 3 beads for this row

16

Now how i secure my row, instead of just threading down into the muslin, i push the needle threw the frist blue bead i had sew on and pull tight so the the last threw beads tighen together to make a full compleat circle and then thread down into the muslin.

17

And to finish off, i take the second thread and then stitch down every bead.

Do this fro the next X amount of rows and ta-da.

Brilliant! Thanks for posting that - it's so appreciated when people take time out to show how they've done something (I know it takes a while to do). And don't worry about correct terminology - I think we all have different words and names for various things especially as we're a global community. It's easy to understand and that's what counts - thanks again :)

Cool! :-D
Well done - the tutorial as well as the bead disc itself.
As for the terminology and the spelling: I understood everything, and English is not even my first language. ;-)

As much as I probably could have figured out how to do that on my own if I really wanted to, I can honestly say, this looks a LOT easier than trying to figure it out myself! Thanks so much! I'll have to try it out! And thanks for posting the link on Tribe too! ~*~Rave~*~
