This summer I happened to watch Spirited Away and it got me thinking.  If Anime Boston has a good schedule this year, I think I'd like to go as Noh Face... or No Face, or however it's spelled.  Does anyone have any suggestions for patterns?  Or making the mask?  Or cosplay in general, as this will be my first serious cosplay (hopefully)?

Once upon a time there was an LJ post. an epic LJ post asking people to anonymously post a Kingdom Hearts pairing and a kink, to be anonymously replied to in the form of fics. This fabled post grew to be 17 pages long, full of AkuSora nursefics, Demyx tentacle fics, Setzer/Roxas struggle bat fics. Thats right, I said STRUGGLE BAT!

... and those are just the one's I feel comfortable mentioning without a fake-cut.

So, lately I've been into these Stamping Communities... and I thought I would share the love.

ninjafy and narutomirror (not to be confused with naruto_mirror, which is completely inactive.)

You read through the rules, fill out the application, and go around and vote on people. It's a lot of fun... although somewhat addictive.

A word of advice: On the mirror ones, people vote who you looked like based on your hair (ie, if you're blond you're Ino or Deidara, dark hair and you're Itachi or Hinata, red hair you're Karin, pigtails you're Temari, etc.). I tried covering mine up with a hat for one stamp and it seemed to work well... although I did get an inordinate amount of votes for Kakuzu... O.o Just a head's up.

There are some other stamping communities for different series, as well... You can find them through the Ninjafy affiliates. Some are more active than others, so I would look through them before posting an app. I know that the One Piece community is pretty active, but the rest I'm not sure about.

These are basically all the ones that were on the top of my head… I’ve been in something of a dark mood so a lot of them are a good bit angstier/serious/mind-bending than I otherwise would rec… especially the ones with Trowa… I guess Trowa just isn’t all that happy… Will someone write me a happy Trowa fic?
I have a whole lot of fics that are happier than these that I am just dying to rec…

Does anybody know how to kill behemoth in FFIII??!?!? I've been playing it on my DS and I CAN'T KILL IT!! RAH!! I even looked for a walkthrough online but IT WON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!! and my magic doesn't work and my weapons don't work ant the dragon keeps wing fucking me!

Not Another Kingdom Hearts Game

Normally, I don't advertise when I make a new batch of avatars. (The Kingdom Hearts avatars were an exception, since people had asked for those.) I just post them in my other journal and hope that people notice. But I just realized that I made 28 Naruto avatars in the past 24 to 36 hours. That's 28 on top of the other 36 I'd already made.

So I guess it's kinda understandable that the urge to advertise all of these ninjas avatars has been great. And me giving into temptation = more avatars for you to look at. With summer comes free time galore (unless you're working), and for gamers, that means making a home on the couch, game controller in hand, snacks nearby, eyes fixated on the pretty 3D avatars flailing around on the screen (and if you're playing the Wii, chances are you're flailing around with them). For artists, summer means more artwork - and in my case, that means more avatars.

I may not be an avid gamer (although I'm convinced a certain someone is starting to rub off on me), but certain people's love for Square Enix (read: Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy) and their gorgeousness rubbed off on me a bit. The fantasy community has lost another of its landmark authors. Robert Lynn Asprin (Mythadventures of Aahz and Skeeve, Phule's Company, and Thieves' World) died yesterday. I don't know about the rest of you, but I grew up reading that first series rabidly, and the Bella library has quite a few of his books. It makes me sad that there will be no more.

So my computer's hard drive is damaged... and I won't even try turning it on untill I have an external hard drive to save all my stuff on. does anybody have any suggestions for an affordable external hard drive that will hold my shit? I'm not talking about Elana's buttfuckbyte huge one, just something that will save my life and not kill my wallet... mrrr???

If you're interested in these types of things, there's a blog called What Japan Thinks, which posts the results of market research surveys taken in Japan. According to this survey ranking mangas, One Piece got the most votes for "manga that made you cry".

Most of the other titles on that list are probably unfamiliar to American readers, offhand I can recognize at least half a dozen which are over 30 years old and have no chance of being commercially translated. Further down you can read the results of a survey asking which manga people are most likely to recommend to others. One Piece tops the list again. Nodame Cantabile is at number six. ^_^

PS: This survey about bad manners using chopsticks is also pretty interesting.

I'm bored.  I also learned that I have almost a GB worth of fanart on my computer, so if anyone wants some, ask for it.  Naruto, Bleach, Gintama, D.Gray-man, FF7, etc.

For those of you who made me obsessed with KH... since I can no longer drag you to my computer and force you to look through all the gorgeous art out there, here's my collection as it stands.  It's not quite as large as some of my others yet, but I'm working on it.
