| So, I like rare fandoms and pairings. It's not a big secret or anything. I'm not mainstream, never have been. Sure, my del.icio.us account is filled with John/Rodney fics, and I'll scour the Interweb looking for that perfect in-character, well-written Nick/Greg story that's been waiting for me my whole life, but nobody will EVER catch me writing this stuff. It's too overdone, too played out. Too many people have charted that territory and, yeah, BADLY. So, I write things like John/Dean/Sam. I write things like sort-of non-con Benji Madden/Aaron Escolopio, that, I think, only two or three people have ever written before. I watch movies like The Hamiltons and Toy Soldiers and dream of writing awesome fic that I'm sure NOBODY will ever read because more than half the population has never even heard of those fandoms before. This community? Is for everyone like me. People who write really rare pairings for overgrown fandoms like CSI, Stargate: Atlantis, and Supernatural. People who write fics for fandoms that have never had a chance to grow, like The Hamiltons and Toy Soldiers and Drake and Josh. Anything from TV to movies to books to real people, anything from slash to het to in between, if it's rare, this place is for you. |
