AboutA community to discuss either season of the WB's hit show Beauty and the Geek.
Season 3: This cycle will remain true to the series' format - pairing eight gorgeous but academically impaired women with eight brilliant but socially challenged men to test intellect and social skills - for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize. Among the challenges, the guys will be required to deliver a stand-up routine in a comedy club and test their artistic abilities when they sketch a drawing of a nude model. The women will brush up on current events for a television newscast and research history books when they act as museum tour guides. The past two seasons saw an unlikely connection between a beauty and a geek and the third time could be the charm for another lucky couple.
During each competition, the geek tries to pass brains on to the beauty, while the beauty helps the geek overcome social awkwardness. At the end of the eight-week series, each contestant comes out a changed person, and one couple will walk away with a quarter of a million dollars.
Season 2: The producing team of Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg recruited a new group of eight women who are academically impaired and eight men who are brilliant but socially challenged. The second installment will remain true to the series' first season format, pairing up couples for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize.
This time, however, each mismatched pair competes in brand new activities designed to test intellect, fashion savvy and social skills. The guys are assigned to makeover a room, while the girls do their best to assemble a computer. There's a karaoke session for the men, and a political debate for the ladies. The girls also do a makeover on the guys, then let them test out their new looks during a session of speed-dating. Finally, the whole group travels to Las Vegas for a highly unusual game of strip-poker.
During these competitions, the geek tries to pass his brains on to the beauty, while the beauty tries to turn the geek into a hottie.

The concept is to pair up couples for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize. Each mismatched pair competes in various activities designed to test intellect, fashion savvy and even dance moves. There's a spelling bee for the girls, massage lessons for the guys, and an introduction to actual rocket science when the girls compete to see who can build a working rocket. During these competitions, the geek must try to pass his brains onto the beauty, while the beauty tries to pull the game out of the geek. They're so far apart on the social spectrum that they're practically different species, but if they make it to the end, they could both walk away gifted and gorgeous.
Rules
(1) Put ANYTHING that could be viewed as a spoiler behind an lj-cut. This includes anything about who got kicked off, anything happening next week, or basically any piece of information that may ruin the show for people that haven't been able to watch yet (Some cities don't get the show until Sunday.) Spoilers do not include things that are going on with past members of the show, or "OMG SO AND SO LOOKED SO CUTE TODAY!" These are fair game and do not need to be lj-cut. Any posts containing spoilers will be deleted until they appear with an lj-cut.
