It is imperative that you thoroughly read the rules before applying.



i. Post your application within 48 hours of joining. If you don't, you'll be removed from the community. If you rejoin, you'll have 24 hours to submit an application. If you fail to do this, you'll be removed and banned from the community.

ii. For a membership request to be approved, your journal must be at least one month old, have your birthdate listed on your profile page (you must be at least 16 years old), and at least one public entry must be open for comments.

001. By submitting an application, you agree to abide by our rules, to submit yourself to our criticism, to neither delete nor modify your application. If you want to get an idea of what our criticism can involve, you can inform yourself here.

002. All applications and pictures are to go under an lj-cut.

003. You must put either "FRESH MEAT" or "REPOST" (whichever applies) in the subject line.

004. At least three clear shots of your face. That means no contrast, no batman angles, no hair in your face. Maximum of ten pictures. If a member is not satisfied with your picture selection they have the right to request new pictures.

005. If a member deems you fake and requests a salute, you must post one. All voting will be put on hold until you post a valid salute (further guidelines). Failure to do so within 24 hours will result in a ban.

006. Absolutely no nudes. Ban ban ban.

007. To make sure you read the rules, the Supreme Overlord of the Universe is the current featured member (listed to the right). Answer that question right, or you will be auto-rejected.

008. Promoting here without maintainer permission means you get removed and banned from the community.

009. "Trolling" isn't tolerated. If you anger the maintainer or any of the mods, we'll discuss it and decide if you should be auto-rejected. Depending on how bad you piss any of us off, you may be banned.

010. Do not comment on any entry except for your own application before you are stamped by a moderator. One warning, and if you do it again you'll be removed from the community. You may reapply with a new application.

011. If your application is missing something, you will be given 24 hours to fix it. If it's not fixed within 24 hours, you will be auto-rejected. This rule only applies to formalities (e.g. salute, lj-cut). If your application lacks wit, quality photos or a proper spell-check, you will not get a second chance.

012. Applications stay live for a maximum of one week before the applicant is deemed rejected or accepted.
This community is not for the faint of heart.


Do not apply here with the assumption that everyone will like you. As in real life, some people may not. The only difference is that here, they will tell you— in a straightforward, impolite, filterless, confrontational manner. So, be prepared. Don't cry to us or delete your application because we hurt your feelings.


Though we have eyes and we do use them (we do judge partially on the physical), this community is not necessarily "about" looking pretty. This is about beauty— being beautiful, knowing and appreciating beauty, and having the attitude and intellect that naturally accompany such things. Some of us will look at your personal journal to decide our votes. We might even track down your Myspace or Facebook - like any good prospective employer. We judge you as a whole package. We are not necessarily looking for pretty faces or heinous bitches; we humbly ask for and expect more. To understand what this means, simply review recently rejected and accepted applications.


Applicants: Your bible is to the left. Read it. Study it. Breathe it. Chances are that if you don't, you'll be rejected.

[!]     Alright, so here's the idea currently in the running: Each season (Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall), we elect a Member of the Season (or MoS). That MoS is given certain authority should she choose to accept it to guide activities or make up challenges or themes so that other members may have the chance to usurp her "throne," before the next season/election officially comes to bear.

001. No reposting of applicant pictures anywhere (even in comments) without their expressed permission. (Part of the LJ TOS)

002. Promoting in Beauty and Bitch without the maintainer's permission will result in a ban.

003. Voting: Elaboration Is Strongly Encouraged. Get creative with pictures, songs, pantomime— anything to illustrate and solidify your stances.

004. Please be honest with your evaluation of applicants. Going out of your way to insult someone is not cool, unless it is warranted. Ad hominem attacks are uninventive, largely meaningless, and to be discouraged. We are not here to prop up our deflated egos by way of denigrating others; we're here to have fun— to be devastatingly honest with the hopes of being constructive with our criticism.

005. Bold your votes, or they won't be counted. If your vote appears in response to a comment, place your vote in the subject line. Otherwise, threads collapse; your vote may go uncounted.

006. On the subject of inactivity: you'll be issued three separate warnings, if your participation doesn't improve you'll be removed from the community. If we let you back in and you pull the same stunt, you will be removed & banned. YOU MUST POST AT LEAST ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS.
